Something I read a bit ago on the Oitnb wiki page still bothers me and I wanted to get your take on it, since it appears you are go-to question gal, lol. Under Alex's info page in the s3 summary it states that "...Alex is no longer able to hurt Piper during sex, which makes Piper less interested in being intimate with her." I disagree with that as the reason why they start to drift away. No support for that idea, for one thing. Your take?

I agree with the Wiki statement BUT I had no clue re: s3 Piper’s behaviour until I read some excellent posts by a few fans here on tumblr, specifically:

To anyone who is still scratching their heads about s3 Piper, I cannot recommend those 3 posts highly enough--they offer excellent insight into her actions.

Ok, so to answer your specific ‘ask’ about the Vauseman hate-sex in s3, I’ll quote two bits from the last link above:"Alex stops wanting to hurt her but piper still desperately believes she deserves to be hurt."(@thefundamental) and "Piper’s fine with it up until that point. It feels good to have intimacy that hurts in a justified way. It feels deserved. But then when Alex really truly forgives her, just completely surrenders and offers Piper unconditional love and support, Piper doesn’t actually want it. It makes her feel worse because she doesn’t deserve it.“ (@baroquemirrors). The whole post is excellent and I’m glad I reblogged it because the original posts are gone :/

Spurs fan chiming in to say that ESPN'S Basketball Power Index Playoff Odds has the Spurs at 42.4% to win the title, narrowly behind the Warriors' 42.8%. The Spurs were atop this list not much earlier this season, even as the Warriors were cruising, because they, too, have been demolishing teams en route to the best point differential in NBA history. Which is to say, I think the Spurs are as good as the Warriors and can come out of the West. I don't think it matters who comes out of the East.

No one can deny that the Spurs are dominant. I’m just not sure if they can effectively match up with GS. I don’t think their guards are good enough individual defenders to stop the Curry/Thompson tandem. That said, those two teams still have 3 games to play against each other this season, so I guess we won’t really know how well they match up until a month from now. And if the Spurs prove me wrong you can totally say “I told you so” and gloat all you want :D

ALSO I’d never browsed Everlane before, but I like it. It reminds me of AYR, which I love. Super clean lines, loose light fabrics & solid neutral colors.

yes, I’m really into loose-fitting stuff that still has structure. everlane’s basics (tees, sweatshirts) are among the most comfortable clothes I own. their biggest downside as a company is that they don’t stock very large sizes, which bothers me as a matter of policy. but, selfishly, I am a tiny person too small for most standard clothing company sizes, so it works out to my benefit.
