The predictions about future include
Stronger sensors - higher res & higher ISO
Smaller cameras - so small there will be no moving parts?!
3D formats - creating holograms
Smarter software that will be able to complete our workflow
Copyright free images will be wildly available and more popular for anyone to use for their own use in the coming years.
I do find this effective as a way of gaining exposure and a following.
The way we look at photography
As the accessibility of cameras are increasing the amount of images being put out is increasing this means the more thought through quality images will be harder to find.
As digital cameras become more and more popular many photographers have started to use film again.
Apps such as VSCO cam have created filters for the film aesthetic.
I personally think this prediction is very true - I love coming across photographers around my age shooting in film.
Fast photography is something that is extremely popular now, images can be taken and shared within a matter of seconds by anyone.
This is why many photographers have started to slow down whether it be shooting in film or with a camera they are not used in order to pay a tribute to the history of photography.
