New Breakfast Find: The GFB!

The summer is winding down and everyone’s getting back into the swing of school/college and if you’re anything like me, you start going on the hunt for new quick things to eat for breakfast. I am not naturally a morning person at ALL, so I like to streamline my morning as much as possible. And that means finding things that are quick but filling to eat at 4 AM before I go in for my surgery rotations.
On my never-ending hunt, I came across this company The GFB! They offered to send me some of their new Gluten Free Power Breakfast - which they say is “like oatmeal but better!”
If I’m being totally honest, I don’t actually like oatmeal at all. So I was a little skeptical here at first but I’m looking for ANYTHING to eat in the mornings so I gave it a shot. They sent me the apple cinnamon, which is gluten free AND nut free although they do have options with nuts for those who partake.
The first thing that stood out to me was the packaging- it’s really cool! You just tear at the dotted line and it pops open to become it’s own bowl. You make everything right in there which is great if you have to take it with you and make it somewhere else or if you can’t be bothered with bowls in the morning.
You can also either make it in the microwave or pour in hot water which, again, PERFECT for on the go! In the microwave it’s just 90 seconds or 3 mins if you pour the hot water in. Nice and quick!

ANYWAY it was actually pretty good, especially for someone like me that doesn’t really even like oatmeal. This is something I can definitely see myself eating again in the morning and the convenience of the thin packet that I can just stick in my bag and microwave when I get to the hospital is exactly what I need.
