So in the one TDC TV Spot trailer, Janson says that they get to choose who’s remaining and holds up a blue tube of some serum. 

If I recall, we seen a similar tube like that before. In Teresa’s hands when she’s in the Maze; a syringe for a person to recover after a Griever sting because as we all know, the Griever Sting injected the body with the Flare. 

THENNN, when we get to TST, Newt gets a shot that’s filled with this blue liquid into his arm. HIS RIGHT ARM!

And as we see in TDC previews, we see where Newt’s major infected started. HIS FREAKIN RIGHT ARM WHERE THE SHOT WAS PLACED!

So going back to what Janson says, “WE GET TO CHOOSE WHO WILL BE LEFT STANDING.” I TRULY BELIEVE THAT THEY INFECTED NEWT IN THE SCORCH TRIALS!
