Hi guys! Hope you are well.
Today is about sharing my current favorites
Including dupes or cheaper options and artworks!
I can never commit on doing this monthly, as you guys already know by now, i'm a minimalist, so I only keep the things I love and use. Having a product be included in my favorites is very tidious.
It first needs to go through a series of constant questioning:
1. If I really need it?
2. Am i buying this just because it's on trend?
3. Will the product pass my aesthetic?
So sharing the list of my favorite things means that the products I show have undergone through a lot for it to be included on my current favorites.
Enough with the blabbing — Let's get started!
Beauty and Make-up
1. Benefit Highlighter
A lot of my friends has been asking me why I look like i'm always glowing. Though I can just say that it's natural ( duh. haha! ) I can't hide the fact that the glow they are pointing out is the one particularly on my cheeks.
This is my secret. The what's up highlighter from Benefit, my current go to highlighter.
What I don't like about it:
If you're face is oily, this might not work for you, i have a combination skin and using this product on the bridge of my nose is impossible. So instead of this, I suggest you go switch to powder highlighters.
What I like about it:
This looks so freaking natural on the face! And the glow is stunning. Mala Gigi Hagid! Char. Haha!
Since the consistency is cream, this looks very natural. And, would stay on your face the whole day - for dry to combination skin.
Good dupe:
If you guys feel iffy about investing in this highlighter (i know its pricey), I can recommend a good dupe that is cheaper, it is the Maybelline color tattoo in barely branded.
2. ATC Fish Oil
Wonder why it's always so easy for me to grow out my hair and my nails? It's because of ATC Fish Oil I'm not saying this because they are one of my sponsors but if you've been following me for a really long time, you'd know i've been using ATC Fish Oil since 2010 — YES.
To someone who always want something new with her crowning glory (hair) having an easier and faster way to make it grow is always a must.
Fashion
1. Michael Kors bag
The amount of people who constantly admire this bag on a daily basis is insane. I always get compliments whenever I use this bag.
I really do appreciate and care for this bag a lot since it's my first ever designer bag. The style and the color is very classic. And the black with the gold hardware is aesthetically pleasing!
Good dupe:
I know this bag is really pricey, if you want a similar style that is more affordable, H&M usually has a lot of bags similar to this one! Here's mine, throwback picture - Year 2014 / fetus kb haha, picture shown above, bought it from H&M last year for around P 1500 - P 2000 (30 to 40 dollars) i'm pretty sure they have cheaper ones right now.
2. Daniel Wellington
Speaking of black and gold. Another black and gold that I love and am obsessed with is my Daniel Wellington Sheffield 40 mm in rose gold. Though I recently was gifted a new watch from the Daniel Wellington team, Sheffield is still the classic. It looks so minimalistic and elegant on. Stunning.
Also guys, if you've been eyeing on buying a watch from www.danielwellington.com, you can use my code "krisaguindangDW" to get 15% off. Code is valid until August 15 2016. I think they have an ongoing strap give-away, i'm not sure, just check their website to confirm.
Good dupe:
Zalora usually has a lot of good dupes for the Daniel Wellington watches! Check the app. If you can't find one in Zalora brand, try Something borrowed.
Arts and Music
1. Koi Brush Pens
I have the Gray set in particular from National book store. I like this brush pens so much, very easy to work with unlike other brush pens that's very dry.
Though I admit it is pricey but this will help you make your calligraphy / lettering look better. And who doesn't want that?
2. Canson Papers
Shout out to this brand of paper for producing such nice quality products. This is not sponsored by Canson paper but hey, hit me up *wink wink* hahaha joke!
From watercolor or paint papers to drawing and sketching, i considered them as one of the best brand to use. And their prices are also very artist friendly. Haha! 👌🏻
3. Mozart Violin
Been playing this baby for a good enough of time.
Though I admit i'm still having a hard time using it (not the violin's fault though. User problem! Haha) I still appreciate this violin very much.
Finances
1. All about money series
This might look like i'm a narcissistic person for including my own series as one of my favorites but I really enjoyed creating this! And i feel very happy that I get to help out others on their financial journey.
Always thankful to GOD that I have this platform — my blog and instagram, that I get to share my passion for financial advising. Seriously feel overjoyed everytime I receive emails, messages or when someone, a friend or workmate would just ask me personally about my savings and investment tips. It makes my grateful heart, happy.
Random
1. Nike tumblers
I actually have both the color black and white. But I lost the black one. Though losing the black tumbler doesn't really bother me as these tumblers are seriously very affordable.
When I got it, I was quite hesitant if it's actually from nike but it was legit. Haha! Got mine from Zalora. I hope you can still get your hands on it, if you want one, I think these are currently on sale.
Favorite quote
"Nobody cares about your excuses. Nobody pities you for procrastinating. Nobody is going to cuddle you because you are lazy. It's your ass. You move it."
Though I don't really find myself as a lazy person, I observed that i'm easily distracted which tends to be a trigger for me to procrastinate. I'm still productive but i'm not prioritizing the significant tasks which is still not a good thing to do.
If you guys have the same problem, I have a recommendation: I usually plan out of my day the night before and set an alarm for each task. In this way, I get to be reminded of the things to be done first.
If I have time (probably be busy again next week because of work), i'll try to share my productivity and setting goals tips soon. Also, to those who has been following me because of my "All about money series" I will be posting my second savings tip next week, Monday! Stay tuned.
