Hi guys! Hope you are well.
Today is about sharing my current favorites
Including dupes or cheaper options and artworks!
I can never commit on doing this monthly, as you guys already know by now, i'm a minimalist, so I only keep the things I love and use. Having a product be included in my favorites is very tidious.
It first needs to go through a series of constant questioning:
1. If I really need it?
2. Am i buying this just because it's on trend?
3. Will the product pass my aesthetic?
So sharing the list of my favorite things means that the products I show have undergone through a lot for it to be included on my current favorites.
Enough with the blabbing — Let's get started!
Beauty and Make-up
1. Benefit Highlighter
A lot of my friends has been asking me why I look like i'm always glowing. Though I can just say that it's natural ( duh. haha! ) I can't hide the fact that the glow they are pointing out is the one particularly on my cheeks.
This is my secret. The what's up highlighter from Benefit, my current go to highlighter.
What I don't like about it:
If you're face is oily, this might not work for you, i have a combination skin and using this product on the bridge of my nose is impossible. So instead of this, I suggest you go switch to powder highlighters.
What I like about it:
This looks so freaking natural on the face! And the glow is stunning. Mala Gigi Hagid! Char. Haha!
Since the consistency is cream, this looks very natural. And, would stay on your face the whole day - for dry to combination skin.
Good dupe:
If you guys feel iffy about investing in this highlighter (i know its pricey), I can recommend a good dupe that is cheaper, it is the Maybelline color tattoo in barely branded.
2. ATC Fish Oil
Wonder why it's always so easy for me to grow out my hair and my nails? It's because of ATC Fish Oil I'm not saying this because they are one of my sponsors but if you've been following me for a really long time, you'd know i've been using ATC Fish Oil since 2010 — YES.
To someone who always want something new with her crowning glory (hair) having an easier and faster way to make it grow is always a must.
Fashion
1. Michael Kors bag
The amount of people who constantly admire this bag on a daily basis is insane. I always get compliments whenever I use this bag.
I really do appreciate and care for this bag a lot since it's my first ever designer bag. The style and the color is very classic. And the black with the gold hardware is aesthetically pleasing!
Good dupe:
I know this bag is really pricey, if you want a similar style that is more affordable, H&M usually has a lot of bags similar to this one! Here's mine, throwback picture - Year 2014 / fetus kb haha, picture shown above, bought it from H&M last year for around P 1500 - P 2000 (30 to 40 dollars) i'm pretty sure they have cheaper ones right now.
2. Daniel Wellington
Speaking of black and gold. Another black and gold that I love and am obsessed with is my Daniel Wellington Sheffield 40 mm in rose gold. Though I recently was gifted a new watch from the Daniel Wellington team, Sheffield is still the classic. It looks so minimalistic and elegant on. Stunning.
Also guys, if you've been eyeing on buying a watch from www.danielwellington.com, you can use my code "krisaguindangDW" to get 15% off. Code is valid until August 15 2016. I think they have an ongoing strap give-away, i'm not sure, just check their website to confirm.
Good dupe:
Zalora usually has a lot of good dupes for the Daniel Wellington watches! Check the app. If you can't find one in Zalora brand, try Something borrowed.
Arts and Music
1. Koi Brush Pens
I have the Gray set in particular from National book store. I like this brush pens so much, very easy to work with unlike other brush pens that's very dry.
Though I admit it is pricey but this will help you make your calligraphy / lettering look better. And who doesn't want that?
2. Canson Papers
Shout out to this brand of paper for producing such nice quality products. This is not sponsored by Canson paper but hey, hit me up *wink wink* hahaha joke!
From watercolor or paint papers to drawing and sketching, i considered them as one of the best brand to use. And their prices are also very artist friendly. Haha! 👌🏻
3. Mozart Violin
Been playing this baby for a good enough of time.
Though I admit i'm still having a hard time using it (not the violin's fault though. User problem! Haha) I still appreciate this violin very much.
Finances
1. All about money series
This might look like i'm a narcissistic person for including my own series as one of my favorites but I really enjoyed creating this! And i feel very happy that I get to help out others on their financial journey.
Always thankful to GOD that I have this platform — my blog and instagram, that I get to share my passion for financial advising. Seriously feel overjoyed everytime I receive emails, messages or when someone, a friend or workmate would just ask me personally about my savings and investment tips. It makes my grateful heart, happy.
Random
1. Nike tumblers
I actually have both the color black and white. But I lost the black one. Though losing the black tumbler doesn't really bother me as these tumblers are seriously very affordable.
When I got it, I was quite hesitant if it's actually from nike but it was legit. Haha! Got mine from Zalora. I hope you can still get your hands on it, if you want one, I think these are currently on sale.
Favorite quote
"Nobody cares about your excuses. Nobody pities you for procrastinating. Nobody is going to cuddle you because you are lazy. It's your ass. You move it."
Though I don't really find myself as a lazy person, I observed that i'm easily distracted which tends to be a trigger for me to procrastinate. I'm still productive but i'm not prioritizing the significant tasks which is still not a good thing to do.
If you guys have the same problem, I have a recommendation: I usually plan out of my day the night before and set an alarm for each task. In this way, I get to be reminded of the things to be done first.
If I have time (probably be busy again next week because of work), i'll try to share my productivity and setting goals tips soon. Also, to those who has been following me because of my "All about money series" I will be posting my second savings tip next week, Monday! Stay tuned.
Materials used for artworks
That is it for my current favorites! I hope you guys enjoyed reading it.
Until next blog.
Hi guys. Got a new art hobby, the cutest so far! I can't help but smile while learning how to draw chibis. They are so freaking cute. I can't. I can't. I can't.
And as always, I'll include the materials I used and progress shots.
Drawing chibis are quite easy to do actually — exaggerating the emotion of the character and lesser with the details especially the body part. If you hate drawing the nose, arms and feet, you'll love drawing chibis.
Materials used:
pencil from faber castell
marker from pilot
sketch pad from canson
Here are my works: and as always, a reminder: please dont expect too much, this is my first time doing it. hence, I’m a newbie. Hehe!
1. Cute winking school girl
2. Angry ninja boy
3. Shocked cute girl
4. Crying school girl
Here are other chibi drawings I made:
Chibi drawing and painting of Team Attitude.
Materials used
watercolor pad from canson
pebeo acrylic studio paint
reeves paint brush number 9
pain paletter from national book store
One thing I liked about drawing chibis is that they are so freaking cute to do that you’ll end up smiling at your work.
You guys should try it, too! Just use the guideline I have ( the one with the pencil ) so it would be easier for you to draw. Until next blog! ❤️
Hi guys! Hope you're doing awesome. Here's another #ootd post! And as always, I will include my favorite quote of the week plus my fashion illustration painting. 1 2 3 — Let's get started!
Btw, I just want to quickly share my current favorite soap — Carrot health soap from katrinasclothing.com
Carrot is macrobiotic. It is an herb of great therapeutic power and herb filled with vitamin A, proven superbly effective not only to fortify or restore eye tissues, and to prevent cancer related diseases, but likewise, potent food for epithelial tissues thus, it is highly recommended for cuts or wound, burns, skin allergies such as scabies, ringworm, white spots, ap-ap prickly heat, blackheads, stubborn pimples, skin aging, destitute of scalp haur, dandruff and 24 hours body protection from emitting offensive smell even after sweating.
The soap is very moisturizing. It helped me heal the pimple scar i have on my chin. I will rate this soap four out of five.
1. Outfit of the day
I love my black and white outfits but it's good to add more colors every once in a while, especially now that it is summer in the Philippines! Adding more nudes, blush pinks and navy green.
Nude cami from Forever 21. Totally obsessed! The amount of wears I get out of this, is insane. Love this cami so much that i'm planning on buying two more with the same color!
Green trousers from Forever 21. Probably not trousers, string pants maybe? I don't really know what it's called but I love them. I can go to work just wearing this kind of pants. So breathable and soft! Like wearing your PJs to work.
Nude heels from Forever 21. Oopsie, now that i'm writing this blog, I can feel that almost all, if not all of the things I will mention is from Forever 21. Hehe! The brand is just way too affordable, can't help it. Anyways, back to the nude heels. Love the color but honestly, this hurt my feet so much.
Bag. I forgot the name of the shop, sorry! But y'all know i'm obsessed with this bag.
I also fell inlove with this hat from SM Department store.

3. Favorite quote of the week
What I'm grateful for this month: Got an invite from National book store to attend one of their events.
It's exciting for me because when I was just starting off as a financial blogger and an artist, I dreamed of receiving invites from the two companies that I support and love — Faber Castell and National book store. Dream came true with Faber Castell last February and finally, just received an invite from National book store last week. I realized that when you're passionate about pursuing and achieving your goals, you will certainly achive it! Until next blog post.

ootd and favorite quote of the week
Hi guys! Hope you are doing awesome. Here's a quick ootd today. Feeling a bit silly so I played with some graphics and editing. Will also be sharing my favorite quote of the week!
1. Outfit of the day
This outfit is very casual, you know me, i'm all about the comfort.
Hoodie love this hoodie I bought from Forever 21. The style is very in at the moment.
Leggings / Brown pants bought it from a bazaar. Very affordable! Costs around P 200 - P 300. 4 to 6 dollars!
White platform shoes bought from an Instagram shop! Forgot the name. ( oops sorry )
Black bag Forgot where I bought this from! Sorry. But this is a good dupe for the trendy Celine bag.
2. Favorite quote of the week
Are you hurting, are you in pain? Do you feel overwhelmed? Stressed out? Alone? Broken?
That feeling you have right now? It has a purpose. GOD never wastes a hurt.
Believe me, he knows what you're going through. He will not leave you nor forsake you. GOD is faithful. Just be patient and trust the one who made you.
"You don't understand what i'm doing now but someday you will." - John 13:7
That is it for today's blog post! Until next blog.
Graphic design and brush lettering/painting by yours truly.
Resting myself for wearing black, I am into the shade of Gray at the moment!
Hope you guys are doing awesome! It’s almost summer and I can’t believe the time went by so fast. Next thing we know, it’s December again, which by the way, I am looking forward to. Yup, this early. Haha!
Anyways, I was recently contacted by an international case company called Casetify, they are based in Los Angeles, California and Singapore. They were kind enough to let me customize my own phone case! And of course, I couldn’t say no, I heard so many good feed backs about them.
Sharing my customized case!
If you’re interested, you can customize your phone case by visiting their website : www.casetify.com or download their app for free : Casetify!

Last last week, I was comforting my mamang ( mother ), telling her how being sensitive is an advantage and how crying is a sign of strength and not of weakness. I did not know that the person in front us was listening to me and she started crying. It really made my day, i'm glad I get to make my mom and a stranger feel better.
Guys. If you're not okay and you feel like crying, ITS OKAY. ITS OKAY TO CRY, ITS OKAY TO FEEL DOWN SOMETIMES. AFTER ALL, WE'RE ONLY HUMAN.
Ugly ducklings will grow up as swans and all your scars will fade. Make today the the moment you decide to grow white wings and finally be okay.
This quote helped me in dealing with the bullying I experienced 6 to 7 years ago. If you're experiencing it right now, be strong. I know where you are coming from, i've been there — it's tough, it's painful. Use the experience as a motivation. Always remember that your skin needs to be as hard as a titanium, don't let anyone or anything pierce on it.
Happy new year guys! I had second thoughts on posting this because it came from an awful past experience but there might be some of you who are struggling right now and I hope this will help you. I guess this year is a time for me to let go of my past heartaches and bad experiences, a time to start fresh, and be the best I can be.
Also, thank you for 429 followers! I can't believe 429 people are following me. It means so much to me. I really appreciate all of you. 2016 will be our year, loves! Always wishing you happiness, KRISAGUINDANG
