Hey, I'm a bit new to the DC part of Tumblr. So far, and as you may have noticed, I've been relying on your blog and some others' blogs to get my fix of DC characters. I was wondering if there were any other good DC blogs that you would recommend?

I don't know any blogs that just post DC, it's hard to find. Batman, Batwoman and Green Arrow (current creative team) are my top 3. #TheOtherBatmanSpeaks

I cannot vouch but I will leave this here as an opinion. Batass and blogman also read N52 for those curious.

This is going to sound rather stupid, but I thought it would be worth a shot. I've always had an interest in comics, mostly through my big brother, but I've not really done much reading beyond a few graphic novels and Wikipedia articles. If I wanted to perhaps become a frequent and avid reader of DC material, would the New 52 be a good place to start? I just sort of want to read things and then figure out what heroes I like the most.

So, one last time in case you are confused, if you're looking to just get into comics then yes, number wise New 52 is more appealing. But it could be a waste of money as well.  I'd personally but the TPB of the pre-reboot DC titles and go with pre Identity Crisis, that's when DC began getting really good again. There's still misses here and there where writing is just horrible, but that's expected. You have huge hits, huge misses, it really depends. But N52 is mostly huge misses with small hits. If you want recommended titles for N52 you can ask thebatass and thegoddamnblogman. Hopefully they don't kill me for recommending them, I know they both read and enjoy N52. They are who I would ask if I were going to read any N52.

Ill try. Im actually pulling an all-nighter tonight studying for a final I have in the morning. Going to come home and sleep after the exam. If things go my way, Ill will catch it. If not, I wont be super bummed. Not TOO invested in 2mrws fights

Well I'll be sure to fill you in if you miss it. The most interesting fights are Co-Main Event and Main Event. But it is nice to see the SF guys coming over and being able to unify titles finally!
