A worn gravestone rests in the Goth family cemetery, distinctly out of place from the rest. How long has it been there? Mortimer spent much of his childhood playing in the family's private cemetery, touching each stone as he ran by, careful to not be disrespectful or careless. He remembers the first time he saw the gravestone which felt like it appeared out of the blue one day, despite his family's reassurance that he must have overlooked it in the past. With no birth or death date inscribed, the family hasn't a clue when she lived or even how she met her end. No one seems to recall what the girl might have looked like or if she was even a young girl at all. It's unknown if she ever loved, if she had hopes and dreams that were cut short. Maddening, Mortimer decides, would not be a concise enough word to cover the intricate puzzle that her grave weaves. After all, the aristocratic and macabre Goths have always revered the dead. For generations they have kept the stories of family members past like a sacred oath, so how could this woman be forgotten? How could her story be lost to time, with not even a trace of her existence in the copious, comprehensive paper trail each family member has deliberately curated and left behind?

Once a year, always on the same day as the year before, Mortimer feels called to visit the cemetery and pay the unknown girl's plot a visit. Under the pale light of the moon, he tries to make sense of why his heart aches for her and why he feels akin to this person whose history has seemingly been erased. He thinks that, perhaps, if he looks at the weathered stone hard enough and grazes his fingertips along the delicate white flower that grows from the earth atop it, he will find the answer to a question he doesn't fully understand, but has felt in his bones since childhood:

Townie Makeover #2

THE GOTH FAMILY

Everyone has done makeovers of this iconic family, so I thought I would jump onto the Sims bandwagon. I aged them up just a few years, Alexander looks much better as a teenager than a kid, anyway.

Ok but Charlotte really thought she was winning for a sec, but Harriet came back with lightning hands.

These characters will be a part of my "The Goths" storyline but they aren't connected yet.

Also their house is Winchcombe Cottage by @whyeverr found HERE I made some minor changes to the interior so it suits this family better, but this build is cc free and just so beautiful! The farm area and animal sections are placed so well, the décor is great, and the landscaping is *chefs kiss*! Ok, seriously though I just think it's a great build and I wanted to spread the word.

Build a Goth Mansion "Challenge"

You can find this shell on my gallery. My Gallery name is Tempy420.

Rules:

You are to create the floor plan of The Goth Estates.

The house must have at least 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, a music room with a piano, and a science lab... (Because this family is supposed to be full of scientists but Sims 4 did not come with science as a base game career.)

This house is set up to have a servant quarters so why not set them up with a room for a butler as well?

The house must be a haunted residential if you have the paranormal pack. If not, give the lot the spooky trait.

The house must contain a seance table if you have the paranormal pack. if not, make a fake one.

Cassandra's room should be Purple, Pink and Black.

Alexander's room must contain a science table for kids.

Mortimer should be a scientist, Sims 4 got this wrong, Make the house reflect his science career.

The house may not have a television at all in any room. (No goth house ever starts with a television, tradition is important!)

That is it! Go nuts! Unless...

Would you like some extra stuff you can do? This is just extra stuff for lovers of Sims lore and the original backstory!

Fix the Lore:

Create a backyard wedding setup at the Goth Mansion in the backyard.

Have Mortimer take up the science career and advance quickly in it.

Fix Nina and Dina Caliente in CAS.

Fix Cassandra Goth in CAS by aging her.

Have Cassandra Goth take up the Science Career.

Get Cassandra Goth and Don Lothario Engaged.

Have Bella Abducted by Aliens and remove her from the family. Move her to Strangerville and infect her with the sketchy alien plants so she is possessed. Wipe her relationships with MCCC if you can.

Get Nina and Don Lothario to date. (Because they have flings in Sims 2).

Get Dina and Don Lothario to date. (Again, because they have flings in Sims 2).

Get Dina to seduce to Mortimer Goth.

Fix the Graveyard:

Create the goth ghosts from each game and put them in the graveyard.This is for streamers only because you cannot save ghosts tethered to a grave in the gallery, the grave will just be empty.

If you felt ambitious you could create the ghosts and upload them to the gallery anyway!

Restoring the family tree would be a LOT of work and would require MCCC.
