Just because the white kids are pale it doesnt mean the black kids werent made lighter. Regardless of who is at work. QTPOC or not there is a trend to lighten skin tones.

It does seem like they’re working with a lighter palette overall and a sucker punched budget compared to the original.While racism most likely isn’t the intent (can’t be sure, but this is one of the most progressive and intelligent kids’ franchises out there), it’s good to raise those concerns.

I was pretty impressed by the first episode I'm really glad korra wasn't shown until the very end. Kuvira looks just as menacing as Zaheer but opposite in ideals and I love that What about you? What'd you think of season 4 episode 1?
It was sweeet. I'm hoping it gets into it quicker. I'm praying for a better bad-ass boss fight at the end this time. I still feel like Korras final battle last season was a bit of a let down. Aangs was the best against Firelord Ozai. But that was the fourth book like this one now so it should be an amzing finish.
