5. Your muse is tied up (how and why is up to the mun)
༼ After that fateful afternoon, Kibum had thanked the she-wolf for her help with a bow and a kind, grateful smile. He had offered to repay her for the time he took from her, but they hadn’t reached an agreement and so Kibum left her his number and the promise that she could count with him for a favor whenever she needed it.
He didn’t expect she would call soon though.
The night was quickly approaching and since he wasn’t on a patrol that day, he had been lazing around for a while in the Institute’s common room. He took his phone out at the sound of a message and he tilted his head when he saw her name in the blinking screen.
✉「 I need you to come toxxx xxx xxx as soon as youcan. I’ll be waiting. 」♚
Kibum had been taken aback by her choice of words. While Asena and he hadn’t hold any intimate conversations yet, something about the tone of the message seemed off. Waving the concern off, he took his jacket and left the Institute’s grounds with the rune for speed alive on his skin.
It didn’t take him more than an hour to reach the appointed place, and when he did, the bad feeling returned tenfold. He walked with slightly flexed knees, ready to face whatever danger came ahead as he took the handle of his seraph blade and murmured its name. The glow of the blade was produced instantly, and he continued to take more steps towards the empty warehouses of the abandoned port.
“Take another step and she dies,” a voice said from the right side.
Kibum was quick to take a defensive position as he turned to the direction of the voice. It was that he saw Asena then, her hands and feet bound together with tight ropes, a rag tied around her mouth while another man pointed at her with a gun.
“Let her go,” he said, eyes narrowing as he looked at the three people gathered around Asena. Then their eyes glowed with the characteristic golden of werewolves and his back stiffened more. This was bad, he thought. “I assume your problem is with me. You have me here now, so let her go.”
The wolf with the gun snorted. “Do you think I’m stupid? Throw your blade to the river and keep your hands up, or I’ll shoot a silver bullet right into this traitor’s skull.”
Kibum did as they say and looked at Asena, trying to reassure her somehow. He had to think quickly though, eyes flicking upwards for a second. He cursed inwardly.
It was a full moon night. ♚
