I know I’m VERY late to this meme but I really wanted to recreate it myself, so I did!

*Explanation for the guy at the right*

In my AU, there’s this demon species called “Dothelian”. This species and humans are basically connected. Every time a human is born, so is a Dothelian counterpart. Every human has a Dothelian counterpart basically. So of course does Max also have one :))) His name is Dark Max! (I just cringed hard saying that)

He had a very tough childhood. His parents got assassinated and he got dragged into a cult in order to survive. He was forced to commit crimes such as stealing. He met Max on a random day when they were both 15 years old and Max wanted to immediately help him, and so he did!

Now in their early 20s, Daki (Dark Max) is very attached to him and they’re basically best friends now.

Okay bye bye time to disappear again!

Insanity

Originally this was going to be a regular drawing of Max just being angry but it turned into a whole cinematic drawing. I’ve never put this much effort into shading before and frankly I didn’t even know I could pull off this kind of stuff, so I’m definitely proud of this piece.

This took me 7 hours and 50 minutes to finish.

[Amulet AU] Max’s mother

**Disclaimer: This AU is 99,99% different from the canon lore, almost everything’s been retconned or changed**

So yeah I gave Max a loving mother. Her name is Samantha and she’s 52 years old. She’s a doctor as long as a nurse and specialises in healing, so she’s very knowledgeable about medical herbs, diseases, illnesses, you name it. She herself has ADHD (which one of her kids got from her genetics, mm yummy)

She’s a very caring mother and would do anything for her kids (yes you heard, kids). She’s super cheery and dare I say a bit childish as she likes having fun with her family, but that doesn’t mean she can’t get mad and lecture her kids when they’ve done something wrong.

Max suffered a lot from intense anxiety when he was about 14-16 because of several reasons and during that period, his mother (and father) was always by his side, comforting him and in general helping him somewhat overcome it. She even suggested doing several activities as a way to calm him down.

Even in present time, she still sometimes treats her kids like little children even tho most of them are above 20 years old. (For context: her kids ages range from 18 to 25)
