          [   one bit his finger, and he fired a               hex at it. or was it an avada kedavra?

              well, the owl never moved afterwards.   ]

            He's soaked to the bone by the rain outside, shaking from the cold more violently than a dog shakes off water. He looks, for lack of a better word, dead on his feet. He swipes a tongue across his lips, and mumbles,                                                    "Harry told me to come here, he said this was                           the safest place for me to be."
