What is is that you love most about Geoffrey St. John?
Before I answer your question, love the icon~ Shard FTW.
Aaaah, Geoffrey. I love him more and more with each passing issue.
I guess…no, what I absolutley love the most about him is how friggin loyal he is. This guy eats loyal and drinks it out of the bowl.
Let me analyze the line above for a while
"You’ve got to cross a few lines to make things change—"
He knows what he’s doing is wrong, but from his perspective, it’s for the greater good (even if in reality, it ends up causing more trouble than he bargained for.)
Silver pretty much sums it up in these few panels:
You can pretty much tell from this scene that he wasn’t doing this out of spite; he honest to goodness believed Naugus would be a good king for the Republic (“You were still a step up from the Acorns!”) and was only acting under the assumption that he’d serve the people well.
But, again, he only ended up digging himself into a deep, deep hole.
Does this guy look like he wants to hurt people
Does he look like he wanted Naugus to do all that mind control crap?
Errr, no, unless he’s just a really good actor.
Yeah, he really should’ve realized sooner that he was aligned with a complete craphead (bonus question: How did Naugus explain that ‘almost causing a civil war’ incident to Geoff? Why did Geoff fall for it, if he did?), but sometimes loyalty makes you blind. Or fatally dumb.
TL;DR: I love Geoffrey St. John for his underlying loyalty, even if it was to a wizard jackhole that ended up possessing him.
And another reason I love him?
I JUST WANNA CUDDLE THIS CUTIE PIE~
