Question does surah know about safi?

She does not.

Surah quite simply hasn’t met one yet, and as far as knowing about them in general... she has overheard whispers of dreaded “star-making” dragons from afar but doesn’t know much else.

On the other hand, this particular Safi knows Surah as the “infernal subterranean dissonance” that occasionally interrupts his all-important naps.

So if Surah is a she then what does a male shara ishvalda look like?

I would draw a male or female pretty much the same.

Unless Monhun says one day that all the ones we see in-game are X or Y (an example being all in-game Mizutsune in Generations being males), there’s no reason to make differences.

Surah is just drawn like Surah and doesn’t really make for a good example. Any named monster character is drawn differently than I would draw the same monster normally. (Sometimes the differences are very slight or are simplifications to save my hands and sanity when drawing them multiple times)
