My Secret Santa present for Gia! Surprise its meeee! I decided to resurrect the #BeachPartyHomos because it was your fanart of them that made me fall in love with jeanmarco in the first place *O* I really look up to you so it was exciting to do this for you!!! I know Christmas is over for you where you are, but I hope your Christmas was bright and warm! <33
A late birthday gift for thcrsthry. Gia wanted me to do a fic based off the mentioned song above, but...... I took it in a completely different direction, obviously.
I need to step up on my fic game for reals, they're coming out really short.
Hope you like it, Gia! And thank you so much for lifting me up when I fall down.

The beach house is probably the most packed it has ever been tonight. Everyone in the area must have at least looked at the place when passing by. The lights are all on, most of them strobe and all different rays of Technicolor. The music is loud enough for maybe even the coast guard to hear.
Everybody and anybody is here, and the fact that it is so colorful some reason makes it have a sort of “romantic” feel to it. Or, so most people have said so far. Marco Bodt isn’t really sure what the case is, but he is welcome to anyone stopping by to even just say hello. The music could be a little quieter though, but Connie is kicking it on the soundboard.
Marco is currently sitting on the couch, watching everyone dance while he had a beer. It is then that one of his friends notice his behavior and walk over to sit beside him. Sasha has a glass in her hand as well, and she looks over at him.
“Marco, what are you doing on the couch?” she calls over the music. “This is your party! You should be out there dancing too!”
He shrugs. “I dunno. I just don’t feel up to it tonight.”
“Come on, this is the end of summer party. Don’t tell me you are going to just sit here while everyone else has fun.”
“Well, I think I—”
“Uh-uh, come on.” She drags him up to his feet. “There are plenty of eligible bachelors here tonight!”
“Sasha, my drink,” he whines and hurries to set it down on the end table. This is going to be the last time he’ll see it all night, he can tell.
Sasha leads him through the dancing crowd like a puppy, scoping the scene while Marco lazily tries to tug his arm back when he knows already that it’s not going to do anything useful. He doesn’t honestly care.
“Sasha is this really necessary? I’m a grown man, I can go out mysel—”
Before he can finish his friend quickly pushes him towards the center of the dance floor. Much to his surprise, of course he bumps into someone on accident, and he flinches back when hearing the startled reaction.
“I’m so sorry!” he quickly interjected over the noise. “My friend just…”
The man in front of him fixes his blonde hair. Shit. When Sasha pushed him she apparently led him to the greatest archaeological find known to man, because damn. This man is not that bad looking. But the traces of beer running down his shirt kind of is.
“It’s fine,” the guy chuckles. “Shit happens, especially at parties.”
Marco nods. “Want to have that shirt cleaned?”
“Nah it’s okay. The shirt’s old anyways,” he insists.
“Okay…” He puts his hand in his pocket, holding out one of them. “I’m Marco.”
“Jean,” the stranger smiles and shakes his hand. “Okay, this dance floor is really crowded. Let’s go over to one of the couches.”
Oh wow. Perfect, because I just came from one of the couches! “Yeah,” Marco grins and walks out, right back over to where his drink was. He went to pick it up.
Jean moves his hand away. “No, don’t drink that now. People can be real creeps.”
He looks over. “Yeah, you’re right,” he groans. “Well, I’d hope that no one puts any weird shit in my drinks, because I actually am the host of the party.”
“You are?” The blonde looks genuinely surprised. “I had no idea. But yeah, you shouldn’t take chances.”
“True.” They both sit down and look at each other. “So, do you go to the local college here?”
“Yeah,” Jean nods. “My senior year.”
“Ah, I graduated,” Marco says. “Trying to get a job at somewhere other than Starbucks. I worked there for eight years.”
“Yeah, I think it’s time,” the blonde jokes. “Since you worked there for so long, could you get away with doing stupid shit? Like… I dunno, stealing some sweeteners? Fucking in the bathroom?”
“What?” he blushes. “Who would want to fuck in the Starbucks anyways?”
“You’d be surprised,” he chuckles. “Crazy people.”
“More like poor blue-balled souls that just couldn’t wait until getting back to the apartment.”
“There ya go.” Jean grins.
“That was a very interesting turn in the conversation for just meeting me not even five minutes ago, by the way.” The brunette crosses his legs.
“Y-yeah, I tend to do that,” he stammers. “I’m very open.”
“Or drunk.”
“Either or, makes no difference,” Jean blushes.
“Well okay,” he smiles. “How long are you here for?”
“If I look at the time….” Jean strains to see the clock on the other side of the room. “Ah I’m blind as a bat without my glasses.”
“You’re a rather attractive bat though.”
“Hah?”
Marco gulps. “Nothing—nothing at all.”
After a suspicious look, he squints again. “Okay, I should be getting home in like an hour. That’s when Reiner stops fucking his boyfriend.”
The brunette freezes. “They’re not doing that at the party are they?”
“Well, one can only assume that yes, they are.”
“They can’t do it in my bedroom!” He quickly rushes up the stairs. “I sleep on that bed!”
“God forbid you do anything else on it,” Jean snickers and follows. “Don’t barge in, Reiner will punch you.”
“I’m the host of the party!” Marco can’t help but smile as he rushes over to his bedroom door. He listens in, and of course, what does he hear on the other side? “Fuck, they are doing it in there.”
“Kick’em out!” Jean insists. “They’re defacing private property!”
“Well, they’re defacing something, that’s for sure.”
At that the blonde laughs, and Marco tries to think of a good strategy. “Should I like… drive them out with some crazy emergency?”
“Yeah… say there’s a fire!” he whispers. “Reiner would get off Bert so fast.”
“Would he leave the poor guy behind or carry him out like he’s a bride?”
“Er… the second one, most likely?” Jean ponders.
“Okay cool.”
“I don’t know, though. He’s kinda tall…”
“We’ll just say that he does that,” Marco sighs and then takes a deep breath. He quickly bangs on the door. “FIRE!!”
Jean jumps. “N-not too loud, you’ll startle—”
“Fire?!” Of course people around them did hear them, and they were quick to leave, that’s for sure. The people that were just down the hallway rush out at the first call.
As for the two in the bedroom, they are both half-dressed when stepping out and quickly rush downstairs before Reiner quickly drags his boyfriend out by his hand. And within five minutes, the place is deserted. Only a rather confused Connie and of course the couple remain.
Jean pursed his lips. “…everyone else,” he finished, very delayed.
“Oops.” Marco laughed nervously. “I didn’t know that was gonna happen.”
“Party’s over then,” Jean smiles. “And my ride’s gone.”
“I’ll take you home,” he assures him. “Let’s head downstairs.”
As they go downstairs and notice the mess on the floor they both burst out laughing uncontrollably. Of course, just Marco’s luck that he would chase out the entire party.
“I’m gonna remember this party for the rest of my life,” Marco smiles and blushes.
“Of course.” Jean checks his phone and looks over at Connie. “False alarm. No fire.”
“I’m just a huge troublemaker.” The brunette is still giggling.
“I didn’t even know people were running from a fire.” Connie rolls his eyes and smirks. “So much for a big party.”
“’S alright, I wasn’t really a party animal tonight anyways.” He sighs. “I’m gonna have to wash my sheets.”
“With bleach.” Jean snickers.
Connie looks down at his soundboard. “Hey Marco, did you even dance at all tonight?”
“I told you, I wasn’t in the mood to.”
“Out of the question, dude!” Connie goes and turns on a song, a much slower one that before. “I made a mix for slow dancing, sorry. But it’s kinda quiet now.”
“Connie, there’s only two of us here!” Marco blushes. “I’m not in a couple.”
“So?” He gestures towards the both of them standing there. “There’s a couple right in front of me. So dance.” He grins.
“I’m not a performing monkey!” the brunette scoffs jokingly and looks over at Jean. “Would you like to dance?”
“Most people ask me out to dinner first,” he smirks cheekily and takes Marco’s hands. “But sure. Now that I finally have elbow room.”
“Yeah, me too,” he smiles, attempting to dance with him. He did step on his toes a little bit. “But apparently not enough foot room. Sorry.”
He shakes his head and smiles. “No, it’s okay. I have two left feet.”
“Perfect.” The brunette just blushes nervously and looks at their feet while they dance. The song is still really slow.
“How about…” Jean muses as they dance. “After this little song is over, you take me home… and I’ll give you my number?”
He smiles and nods. “Okay. And then we will go out to dinner?”
“That’s an option, yes,” the blonde chuckles. “Should we get going then?”
“Oh yeah.” Marco clears his throat. “And then I gotta clean this place up when I get home.” He starts leading him out to take him to his car. “If I wait til tomorrow, the mess will sit here for weeks. I bet you a million bucks.”
“I dunno, none of us have that kind of money,” he smiles.
“Okay okay.” They sit in the car, and Jean just can’t stop looking at the scenery as they drive away from the house.
