Wow. It has been 6 months.
And these 6 months were probably the best of my life. Six months isn't a very long time. However, with you guys, it seems like we've known each other forever. I have never been a very social person. Having a social life is new to me. I am so glad that it is with you all.
To those of you not in the loop, here's some background: Six months ago, I decided to go to the Maureen Johnson Publication Party for Name of the Star. Charlotte and Stella organized a pre-gathering at Madison Square Park. I met them for the first time, along with Vikki, Kelly, Emily, Sophia, and Luke. That day changed my life.
So now onto individual things.
Vikki: Wow. I am so glad that I know you. It was a while back when we got married and Vikmas began. On that day, I finally could put a person to the URL. Since then, we've gotten so close. You have the greatest stories, funniest jokes, and a wild personality. We both basically live at the Museum of Natural History which is good. We need to go more often.
Stella: When I jumped into the Harry Potter fandom, I looked into NYDA and saw you organizing things. I never got into it. But then we began talking on Tumblr. I really got to know you at the MJParty. Then there was the Quidditch World Cup and the Yule Ball. I don't think we hang out enough (so we will hang out to study because of reasons). I enjoy your presence very much. You don't take shit from anyone and you're so cute, funny, and talented.
Kelly: You're like a big sister to me. You give me a lot of advice, especially pointers on how to pick up chicks (fjalolol). Don't even get me started on how talented you are. You make my ears happy. Is it bad that sometimes brag about how talented my friends are and then proceed to let them listen to your music? We live close, but we haven't hung out together. This needs to change. Oh and your hair is my favorite hair.
Charlotte: Thanks to all of the LIRR rides, we've gotten really close. We live so close it's great. You support me a lot and give me advice. I really love that I can tell you basically anything that's on my mind. We have a lot in common, especially dealing with our childhoods in the outskirts of Queens. I look forward to going to your house so we can learn ukulele together over the summer because that is still a thing.
Emily: Recently, we've been talking a lot. This is wonderful. You are such a talented writer. Your kindness and humor has no bounds. We bond on the LIRR as well! Remember when we were just mutually following each other and didn't talk at all. I'm happy that it's different now.
Sophia: You are just outright hilarious. You do the greatest things. We really do need to hang out more and that will happen with the thing with the thing about the thing. I look forward to this. wooooo.
Luke: You're probably one of my closest guy friends. It's not that hard since most of my friends are girls, but yeah. I value your friendship a lot. Also, we should have a sleepBROver because that's a thing now.
Micaela: Welp. I almost forgot you. I'm stupid, sorry. I actually haven't spent much time with you. But your pictures, my god they are perfect. Yeah, we should hang out more because that needs to be a thing.
You guys are the greatest people I have ever met. I look forward to this glorious future that we will have together. Even on the worst of days, you guys never fail to brighten it. I love you guys to disgusting amounts and look forward to seeing you soon. I would end this with DFTBA, but you guys don't need to be reminded.
