it’s not even the age gap that is the biggest issue for me with Buffy and Angel, that’s part and parcel with any vampire romance. (although I do like for the romance to start slightly older than a 200+ year old eyeing up a 15 year old like a stalker and falling in love immediately 🙄) it’s the fact that he brings it up as an issue but then elects to ignore it. if it’s serious enough for you to mention it as a reason to not be together, than why is it not enough to STOP you from doing so? and don’t say “he couldn’t resist her” or “she went after him” because that does not help his position at all.
