I think Jane Horrocks Sally Bowles being the first take on Cabaret (the song) I ever heard ruined me on every other actress who plays her ever
#especially with the choreography and outfitting of the more modern productions ive seen?#im sure theres a reason why thats the choreo but i dont. really get it. why is she doing that with her arms#<- obviously neither of these things are the actresses' faults and the ones i see are always putting their all into#their performance#i just dont think anyone will top jane horrocks standing still screaming into the microphone staring us down#i think its one of those songs where less is more in terms of movement but more is more in terms of singing
