I couldn't bring myself to watch the visuals of todays protest but still i watched them. Earlier, before lathi charge, everything was peaceful. People were sharing their opinions, issues and demands to reporters. They had nothing with them just posters and hope that maybe, just maybe, this could bring some change. But when some random people which i know were RSS members came with stones nd started throwing them. Police didnt give a second thought but started brutually (The pics and videos are horrifying) dragging students, beating them nd what not.

It tears my heart to see the situation there. I love my country and will continue to love it. Its the current leaders who have spoiled each and everything, the media isnt free anymore, religious conflicts happening once in a while, paper leaks leading to suicides of so many students etc etc.

Today was indeed a black day in India. I wish things would have not gone so bad and our PM would have just addressed the concerns of students, thats all we demanded in the first place.

I have always revered Sonam Wangchuk sir, his hunger strike was the epicentre of this protest. We dont owe him anything but he stood up for us when no one was speaking. Your efforts wont be forgotten. The youth is with you and will always be.

If you want to do big things in life, you have to learn how to pray. Because some doors won't open with hustle, only with humility. Some mountains won't move with effort, only with du'a'. Prayer isn't just part of the process, it is the power behind it.

I feel that tumblr has helped people accept their feelings without making them feel uncomfortable. People reblog posts resonating with themselves, which is like a safe manner, with them not at the frontline. They are able to display their true self with not so much to think about, which, in a way is good for mental health too.
