An ask spurred this little post, because I've been mia a lot recently on this tumblr, and it's not because I've lost interest. Quite the opposite actually.
It's become a bit of a challenge for me to make the posts I want to make on here, just because what I want to do is very time consuming.
A lot of Japan tumblrs are very artsy, pretty, or hipster photo types. Nothing against them, but that doesn't offer any real information on Japan. That is what I want to post mainly on my blog, the informative stuff. That being said, the challenge I face is having the time to generate those kinds of educational posts, because if you've noticed, there aren't that many out there to reblog from (with exception to a few I follow that are language focused). Reblogging gives me a break, and it keeps the tumblr active when I don't have time to post something original.
Looking past a lot of fandom/otaku posts I reblog, I want to make the time to put out educational posts more often. I will try to do that more often as I get my time management under control again (new job, new projects, more active recently in J-community stuff, etc).
I will be churning out the podcast soon, which is a surreal thing, because I've been talking about it for almost a year. But I finally took one step and then another and I'm finally getting it out there. :)
That will help generate some more original posts on here too.
