Gandalf: Has your public appearance ever changed radically?

Yeah, when I shaved my head last year. It was the first time I’d done something “out of the norm” appearance-wise, and I learned that I don’t actually care as much about other people’s opinions as I thought. Also I learned that, despite what my mum always said, short hair looks good on me.

Caranthir: Do you have a temper, and has it ever gotten you into trouble?

I definitely do, but I’m also smol and shy, so I only ever express my temper by muttering angrily under my breath and getting really embarrassed when someone hears, and that has never gotten me into trouble.

Bombur: What is your relationship with food?

Amicable? I like food and I like trying new things.

Oh man, it took me a really long time to get back to this because until now I’ve been stuck in term paper hell, but I’m finished now!!! I’m so happy! Anyways.

I recently moved into a room in my friend’s flat, and she was really excited because she has never lived with a friend before. We haven’t been able to spend much time together though, because I’ve been away for two weeks and have basically done nothing but work on my paper since I’ve been back. The first day I was back, she knocked on my door at around noon, and handed me a plate with salad and homemade hummus that she had made especially for me, because she knew I didn’t have much time to cook, and I thought that was pretty sweet.

oak:  something or someone that encourages strength in you

I’m not sure I’m understanding this question right, but I definitely feel strong when I’m wearing a cute dress and lipstick. I don’t know, there’s just something about that combination.

elm:  what your dreams are like

Most of the time I dream really weird scenarios that always feel deadly serious while they’re happening, and after I wake up I always realise that they were really silly. I rarely have nightmares, but sometimes I have really sad dreams that I can almost never remember, but that make me cry in my sleep so that I wake up puffy-eyed and with a feeling of inexplicable melancholy.

Please don't hate yourself! Things happen! Also your father isn't exactly a saint, particularly if he's going to be passive aggressive about an accident (never mind the other things).

It's okay, I mean I still feel shitty about it, but I guess worse things could've happened. Also he said he was going to enjoy hanging this over my head, so we'll see how bad I'll still feel when he starts doing that. (Probably not all that bad.)

Hello. These are things I love about you: you know probably every single actor in Pride & Prejudice, and even though I don't really like Jane Austen, I still enjoy watching the film with you because I learn so much about people I'll forget half an hour later. I love that somewhere along the way you stopped saying 'lmao' out loud ironically, and now it's become a genuine expression of amusement. Also you have a very wide range of laughs and I think that's great. I love that you know a lot of stuff that I don't, and that you're pretty good at explaining things. Also your singing voice is really great, and I'm sort of amazed at how you seem to be getting even more pretty over time (like, shouldn't there be a limit to that?)

Katharina!!!!! I love the fact that you’re one of the very few of my friends who I met on Tumblr and then got to meet in real life too! (Seriously, I have yet to be disappointed (and/or murdered) by the tumblr peeps I’ve met in real life). And I love the fact that pretty much the first thing you did when I met you in real life was pull out a picture you had drawn for me of Bowie! It was seriously one of the most thoughtful things I think anyone has ever done for me. And I love how confident you are as a person, and how you snapchat random things from your classes and stuff, and just how genuinely nice you are altogether. And also I love the color of your hair… I’m ridiculously envious of your hair.
