Fun fact regarding servant memories. Aside from saber who is ~special because of plot stuff~ all the servants are basically a photocopy of the original hero, and if you summoned a hero that was in the previous war, you would get a fresh copy rather than the same dude. So if Shirou summoned Dia it would a new one that didn't know his dad. I guess this system exists so servants don't figure out that only one person can get the wish from the grail and kill their masters for it??? *shrug*

Not that Shirou’s necessarily fixated on honour so much as pursuing the idea of being “heroic”, but they can definitely intersect, and I don’t know if it would end well. That’s typically why you need Rin as his ally to balance it out, ha.

Y-yes? My favorite character is Vriska, and I know I've admitted more than once that I totally get why people wouldn't like her, because she's kind of really morally bankrupt. I love her anyway. Doc Scratch (and to an extent, I'm still on the fence about Gamzee) are the only characters that so far I've been like I DONT KNOW IF I CAN WITH YOU.

Doc Scratch (I assume that's who you mean) is interesting and a good character and I super get why people like him? I just don't jive with his methods of doing things more than WHAT he does. I still legit assume I'm going to go teacup over kettle in feels for him at some point, because Hussie is just really good at characters. I will be really surprised if I DON'T at some point. For now though, he's just not a character I'm going to hold my face and make happy noises at.

As a fan of Doc Scratch (for reasons you've seen and others you haven't), I too like to shake my fist at his smug cueball face and call him mean things, so I say you should totally feel free to do the same.

Haha, I'm not stopping myself from writing that I'm unhappy with him as we've all seen, but I don't want Doc Scratch fans to feel like I have it out for them, or him. I know my opinion of a character shouldn't and wouldn't influence someone who liked him, but also don't really have any desire to rain on someone else's parade of happiness!

And I don't HATE him or anything. I'm just kind of making a nose crinkle of "ergh" at him because I just think he means so many bad things!

PUTS HANDS ON FACE OH, DOC. I did keep thinking he was probably including himself every time he said more powerful entities, etc, but I wasn't thinking the arbitrary trigger would hit SO soon.

Yeah, I don't think it's ever spelled out in the narrative, but that blue thing is one of Jade's consorts, and it's an iguana! And I love 'em, because they're somehow even more adorable than the crocodiles (naknaknak!) or salamanders! imageshack.us/photo/my-images/137/038942.gif/

How cute! I don't know which of the consorts I like the most. They all have so much personality! Rose has her poor little terrified wizard turtles, and the nakodiles just... naknaknak! (I keep thinking about that one that followed Aradia into the dream bubbles. I assume it's just wreaking havok with dead daves, wandering around and nicking all their stuff.)

"Did ANYONE have any idea what was going on when this was live" Homestuck has been likened by Andrew before as a story that's also a puzzle. It is definitely possible to understand it, and there are enough clues throughout the story that you can correctly guess some major plot points that will happen. But he also said "Failing to grasp everything shouldn’t preclude basic enjoyment, nor is it a symptom of failure by either the reader or the story." He designed it to be enjoyed in different ways.

Haha, yes. You have to admire the man for the number of people he can reach with one ...massive webcomic. There are so many different ways to love it.

Gosh, I think my favorite thing about homestuck at this point is his ability to write characters. The sheer amount of concern I have for these characters is ridiculous.

As far as I can tell from what we've seen, Scratch serves Lord English because it's in his nature to serve Lord English. No other reason.

fu the doc is awesome. great example: there's way more than two jokes in that log, but that doesn't mean he was lying. he's the best troll.

I respect your opinion even though mine is different! If I read him as intentionally being a troll, I'd probably like him more.
