                                      “you know what pisses me off?” brooklyn takes a deep breath, though seemingly already seething. hand curls in on itself, as if crushing an invisible can, while she grits her teeth. “when people think they can tell me what to do. like--” before she can go rant about everything that bothers her about said specific thing, she looks back at the other with an expectant gaze. “you get what i’m saying, right?”

         she loiters outside the bar, taking her sweet time while smoking her last cigarette of the night. she's already smoked two of them earlier in the evening in hopes of killing the anxiety blooming in her chest, but nothing is helping. when gracie sees the other come out of the bar, she's on defense mode. ❛ hey — i'm done. i think your ex is finally getting jealous and wants you back, so we shouldn't waste our time continuing whatever this is. ❜ she waves her cigarette around for emphasis. the drink she had downed just a few minutes before is making its way through her bloodstream, which causes gracie to be more honest than usual. ❛ i'm not going back in there. not with you. ❜

         cleo’s trying extremely hard not to look so pissed being here, considering the last time she ate was this morning, and she’s getting hangry. but she’s not heartless — she couldn’t stop her best friend, obsessed with this band she had never heard of until today, when they were invited backstage after the show. for god knows what, the tall brunette thought to herself, but she stands backstage with her face and stance screaming uninterested. ❛ you guys got any snacks back here ? ❜ she asks the male standing closest to her while her bestie is busy flirting with the pretty bassist. she can’t even remember what instrument in the band he plays — or if he’s even part of the band at all, to be honest. ❛ don’t lie to me, i know all of you probably have a complicated ass rider. show me where the cheez-its are and nobody gets hurt. ❜ @thekoolkat​
