#Repost @thelagirl (@get_repost) ・・・ For anyone who doesn't think protests work, here's what has happened so far because of these protests: ☑️Four officers fired for murdering George Floyd ☑️ Officer Chauvin charges upgraded to 2nd Degree Murder ☑️ Three other officers arrested and charged ☑️ 2 officers fired for pulling a couple out of car and tasing them in Atlanta ☑️ Minnesota public schools end contract with police ☑️ Minnesota parks and rec end contract with police ☑️Confederate Monument removed in Birmingham, AL ☑️Louisville police chief fired after shooting of David Mcatee at BBQ joint ☑️ Removal of Robert E Lee statue in Virginia ☑️ LA announces $100-150 million cut from LAPD budget ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ And that's only the beginning, there is STILL more work to be done: more people to educate, more petitions to sign, more money to donate, more voices to share and amplify. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Because this is a human issue, what affects black lives affects all human lives. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Whether you're protesting in the streets or in different ways, know that it DOES make a difference.
