Planning Phase || Thelandria & Calliope
Today she was wearing an entirely black dress. It was strapless and floor length, the small train catching in the wind, making the shiny material seem as though it was rippling black water. On her feet were simple black flats and her jewelry followed in suit. Today’s attire was quite different than her normal clothes.
It was dawn, the half the sun visible over the horizon as she walked along the edge of the Ivory Wall. Normally she would do this when she needed to clear her mind or sort out an issue. The quiet serenity that the environment provided always seemed to help her make the right decision or put an uneasy topic to rest. Calliope had not been the the wall in quite some time and with recent events there was much to consider, making her visit not only long overdue but necessary as well.
First there was the issue of new supernaturals. On her way to the wall she heard citizens discussing the matter in hush tones, whispering to one another as though it were a secret. It made sense given the topic, however, Calliope didn’t quite fully understand why they treated the issue as such. Everyone in the city talked about it, gossiping about their powers and presence. She had even heard some younger elves proposing that the mysterious supernaturals working for the king was a positive, that they were infiltrating the court only to destroy it from the inside. None of these seemed to phase her, something which onlookers found peculiar, but the reasoning was simple really. The suggestions that the new supernaturals, the unknowns as she decided to call them, were there to kill the king couldn't be considered and option. Although it would be nice, she always prepared for the worst. And as for the gossips of those passing by, she did not let any of them worry them. She did not know many of the people, let alone the credibility of their word. Calliope decided that she would go as the Attos to gain a proper account of the situation.
There was also the new war pact with the Draugrs. A multitude of things had to be done now that it had been made. Her soldiers would have to be trained to fight with them, no longer knowing how to target their allies weakness but rather defend them. They would need to be trained in fighting alongside the Draugr, learning how their different powers could aid one another, learning new teamwork strategies. This was all of course assuming that their divisions would be merging together.
As she walked away from the wall and headed off towards the council she felt much more relaxed than she had before. She blocked the chatter of the unknowns and other gossips as she made her way through the city. The building’s doors opened for her as she approached and made her way to the council without delay. Calliope entered the room to find the three of them sitting there as though they had been expecting her.
