@thelanguidcat You said you were really excited about a ‘forbidden romance’ type Dynamic, and combining that with the meanings behind Pink Mimosas I thought combining them both into a royalty AU would be fun!

So here’s Captain of the Royal Guard Shiro, and Gentleman Advisor Lance, ducking into the gardens for a moment alone, interrupted before its time was up.

-When Shiro becomes restless during the night and is scared to go to sleep he stares up at the wall in silence alone. He doesn’t want to wake up Lance whos body is just right beside him and suffers by himself throughout the whole night.

-Because of his lack of sleep from the past couple of night, it shows dramatically in his routine and physical appearance. His vision gets chopped up and he has to sit down or else he’ll fall down from all the spot he’s seeing in his eyes. Lance is worried about him and asks him whats wrong. Shiro doesn't want to worry him and brushes it off that he was just winded is all.

-Eventually, he falls asleep from the severe exhaustion but is interrupted by his nightmares. He only notices the screaming only when he feels the shaking on his body as he is pulled out from his thoughts that Lance is screaming back at him trying to desperately be heard.

-Lance with tears streaming down his face is staring at Shiro with worry woven into his eyes. 

“Takashi, baby,” Lances voice small and quiet that Shiro almost misses it, thankfully he had focused on his lips. “You’re okay, you’re okay. I’m right here, Shiro. I’m right here.” Lances repeated over and over before pulling Shiro into his embrace. “Shhhhhhh, I got you, we’re okay. You’re gonna be okay.” He rocked them back and forth. 

“Lance- I-I I’m scared” Shiro choked up and hugged his husband as tight as he could with the one arm he had. Tears had begun to well up in his eyes and fell without blinking his eyes. Staring into the abyss.

“I know, baby, I know. I’m here. Listen to our heartbeat, it’s gonna be okay. Just listen.” He shushed them both. Shiro closed his eyes and concentrated on the pulse in both of their bodies which melded into the hug. Both hearts almost in sync, his being the faster one. He took a couple of deep slow breaths to slow down with Lances. With his arm tight around Lances back he began to calm down.

“Shiro, the next time you have trouble sleeping you need to tell me. I’m not just here to stand pretty. I’m here with you and for you. I’m your arm, your ground, your support, and your husband. Don’t just leave me out of your life, pull me into it. The good the bad, and the ugly, I knew what I was doing when I married you. I love you, always and forever.” He nuzzled his face into the nook of Shiro’s neck and rubbed soft circles on his back. 

“I love you too, always and forever.” 

-The rest of the night, Lance has Shiro in between his body making Shiro feel safe and loved. They kiss and draw on each other's skin with their fingers until they end up hugging. 

-Lance never stopped talking once so he could fill the silence. Shiro doesn’t exactly get to sleep that night, but he does the next night and the night after that.

I actually made this post because I saw screenshots of anonymous death threats that one of my followers received in the past. I felt a little sick reading them and I decided to make a post listing all of the terrible things antis have done and are still doing because this whole thing just infuriates me. No words can describe how unbelievably vile they are, but as for me, I haven’t received any hate recently. But that just might change soon. Who knows? Thank you so much for the concern, Ev. I love you. 😚💕
