#Repost @chibagrrl ... Week 3 of #horrorsistersfavoritemoviesof2021 I really enjoyed The Last Matinee, a Uruguayan giallo set almost entirely in a movie theater. There's a black- gloved killer with an eyeball fetish slicing his way through the audience. when the projectionist's daughter ( filling in that day) notices something's going on and it's kill or be killed. ( fun fact: the movie - within - the movie is Frankenstein, Day of the Beast, directed by Ricardo Islas, who plays the killer here) I like that there's no explanation or backstory to the killer, he just shows up with his knife, his gloves, and his jar of eyeballs and does he's business. This is a fun one Streaming on Arrow and Shudder.
