[ @thelastrobian || Found a new project!]
Jules froze for a moment, he wasn’t actually expecting anyone to answer. Wasn’t this site supposed to be abandoned? He felt a bit adverse to the idea of actually approaching the stranger, also unsure if they’d be friendly or not… But at the same time, he couldn’t really sneak away. A metal body wasn’t exactly suited to stealth. And whoever they were, they didn’t very sound threatening…
After a few minutes (which felt like an eternity) of debating with himself, Jules decided it’d probably be best to show himself. With every step his anxiety screamed at him, but he brushed it off and refused to let it show. Eventually he found the other person- a man. An overlander? Well, that didn’t calm his nerves one bit.
Still, The Great War had been over for years now, and Jules wasn’t about to make new enemies. “Um,” He started weakly, hoping he didn’t look too frightening to the other (he’s already had to deal with strangers pointing at him and screaming “Metal Sonic!” back at home sometimes…), “Hi?”
Julius waited, although after a minute or so had passed, he was forced to turn back to his work regardless. He kept up the same pace, knowing a faster attempt would probably result in him breaking a fragile circuit or something of a similar manner.- He wasn’t going to dare cause damage to a child of his... Not on purpose, anyway.
When he sensed the figure getting close, Julius turned back around, twin brown orbs locking onto the strange figure. He quirked an eyebrow. Was this... A metallic rendition of the blue blur?-- It was enough to nearly freeze his thoughts in their tracks, memories of blood and laughter filling his mind before he could toss them aside. No, no. Not that being.- This one was too different in too many ways.
“... Hello.” He waved, a small smile coming to his features. If nothing else, he could at least try to be civil. “... You’re certainly a unique-looking creature... Might I ask, what are you doing around an abandoned lot like this?” He gestured to their surroundings, internally keeping a timer. Soon enough, he’d have to turn back and resume his work, lest his Egg Pod suffer.

"Jules, How many wives do you have. How do you keeo attracting them? And why is your sister eyeing my quill?"
"....What in aurora's name...?"
@thelastrobian said :
"Maybe so, but I do know you haven't really tried to hurt anyone here. You've just been mildly annoying at the worst."
“Either way, i guess i’ll be sticking around if you don’t mind. people here have been strangely... tolerant of my presence..”

“Not that I don’t appreciate that...”
There was truth the the echidna’s words, he did appreciate the worry over him and the other caring about his well-being. Still, this was far from the worst injury he had suffered. Not the last either. If some of his scars were any indications on that matter.
“...but I can’t just sit ‘round n’ wait for it to get better ‘ere, I got my duties to take care of.”
Plus, he could always heal when he got back to Angel Island.
