He would be lying if he said his heart hadn't broken that day.

That fateful day where he watched in horror as the red-and-black-skinned Zabrak murdered her.

His light.

His cyar'ika.

He still remembers running to her side, still remembers calling out her name as he picked up her dying form and held it in his arms with great care.

He still remembers her reaching up to touch his cheek, and he still remembers the last words she said to him...

"Remember, my dear, Obi-Wan... I've loved you always... I always will..."

Those words still haunt his dreams every night, but worst of all, the thing he regrets the most...

He never told her he loved her back...

Obi-Wan shook her shook his head. It didn't matter. She wouldn't have heard him.

Instead, he remembers how gently, with a feather light touch, as if he was afraid he'd break her, he took her hand in his and brought it to his lips.

Tears welling inside his closed eyes, he softly planted a kiss atop the pale, lifeless palm of his beloved.

He remembers gently squeezing the lifeless palm as he whispers through the Force, Rest well... Cyar'ika...
