2016 bout to be my year of silence. Everyone talking bout how 2016 gonna be "their" year. Just like every last week of December. That shits so annoying to me, man. Realized a lot of shit I need to leave behind in 2015 and that's what I'm focused on. I've had more strangers support me than my closest friends. Even just saying that makes me feel so self-centered, but the impact of that is heavy on me. Learning that your FRIENDS aren't your FANS is odd - wouldn't you think they'd be the first ones? The answer is no no no. I think you can hear my vulnerability in the (not-yet-released) songs I've made most recently. I'm excited for that to be heard. The shit moves me, and I'm learning, slowly, that's the most important aspect to making music and writing songs - truth and heart, man. I just wanted to let those who rock w/ me know that I'm not claiming 2016 to be "mine"... Just promising to give it my absolute all. I graduate from college this year and that's so big to me. I have 0 idea what's to come. I think that's so rad No ones gonna read this shit and that's ok. I believe in putting it out there. This post is so scatter-brained, which is so fitting.
