Pour one out for all the great characters inevitably doomed by predestiny bullcrap that removes all their characterization and makes them act in ways that make absolutely no sense at all, just so that a scene that was already written can happen the exact same way, even though it doesn't make any sense now.

Pro tip, writers: Sometimes your favorite scene, that you came up with before writing the rest of the book, is bad, and should in fact be thrown in the trash no matter how sad it'll make you.
