A Simple Little Note
In her casual brown shirt, blue jeans and boots, Lycandria quietly makes her way through the training yard of SI:7. She glances left and right at some of the trainees working on drills, scanning subtly for Thelman's face. Ly knew he worked more in intelligence, but she didn't want to miss him.
After reaching the headquarters with him nowhere to be found inside, she sighs and concludes he must be out on a scouting mission. She smiles at a few familiar faces she knew back from her days of service in her late teens and early twenties, passing through hallways and rooms until she got to the locker room.
She browses both sides of the room until she finds the locker with the label bearing Thelman's name. She smiles softly and reaches into her pocket, pulling out a folded note and stuffs it through the small slots at the top. She smiles even brighter as she hears it settle to the bottom, thinking about the moment he'd read what she wrote.
Dear Thelman, I just wanted to let you know I really enjoyed our time together the other night, and I hope you enjoyed it as well. I know work and things might be hectic and busy, but I'd really love to spend more time with you and get to know you better.
I will be heading over to the orphanage today to help with things they might need, and to read and play with the children. I just feel like it's something I want to do, since I'm taking a break from the war front anyways.
I hope this note finds you well, and you return safely. I have a good feeling about this, and I'm really excited to see you again. Look for me at six bells past in the afternoon, just outside the training yard in Old Town. I will hopefully be there waiting.
Sincerely and thinking a lot about you, Ly
She turns back to the door after hearing a few people return to the locker room and heads back out toward the training yard. All the while, she can't help but try to hide her joyful smile as she makes her way to the orphanage.
Mission Status
(@lycandria) Thelman had been lost is a sea of emotions since the other night. His mind was still reeling from his encounter. A night of passion and emotions that he hadn't really thought was even in the cards. He had to remind himself to find time to investigate her more in depth. He made his way from a mission debrief from the night before and just sort of scratched his head and sighed. She was on his mind again, and if it meant anything he knew that it was going to be very soon, that he would see her again. Reaching his locker, he spun the dial on his lock and pulled it open. He still marveled at the ingenuity of the gnomes to make such a simple yet effective item. His eyes seemed to adjust to the dark interior of the locker room as he swung the door open and he looked at himself in the small mirror that was at eye level on a small shelf. He needed to shave a bit again. Maybe go without for the next mission, just in case. He mused a moment as he pulled out a couple items and then swapped out for his armor and weapons. As he pulled out his boots, a small envelope seemed to be atop. He snagged it up and looked around the locker room with a puzzled face. Unsure he flipped it over in his hands a few times. His curiosity got the better of him. He took a soft sniff and instantly grinned from ear to ear. It was from her. He sat, and placing a finger at the seal, stripped it open and took out the small letter. He read it probably 6 or 7 times. The handwriting was immaculate, the strokes showed no wasted line, every drop of ink was lined on the parchment with accuracy and care. His eyes caught how she looped her L’s and swirled her S’s. It was beautiful. She was beautiful. She was...He shook his head, as he smirked and snorted slightly. One night, he thought as he rolled his head back and thought. One night and she was burned into memory. Her curves, those passionate eyes. Her lips...That wasn't a line of thought for the locker room. He folded the parchment, pulled on his boots, and put his daggers back into the locker room. The orphanage seemed like a good place to visit after all. Besides, it had been quite a while since he had visited the cathedral, he was due for a visit anyway. Now he had an excuse to go.
