I'm posting what i have now so if I get lazy later at least part of this exists.

LUUUCY LOOK ----

       Jarl Stormcloak,

    You will be pleased to know that Solitude no longer houses the Imperial Legion. With the departure of my father to Cyrodiil, the departure of the Thalmor from their embassy, and the death of my grandfather at your hands, the Empire no longer holds it’s influence in Skyrim. Due to a rather strange coincidence I do not believe that the Empire will be capable of bothering you as they will be too busy with placing a new Emperor on the throne.

    The divines work in strange ways for you, don’t they?

    However I write this letter purely out of obligation and with no personal intentions or quarrel with yourself. Seeing as you have sent my steward back to Cyrodiil and have killed my husband there is no one else to write you with the necessary updates on Solitude’s status.

    The destroyed barricades have been cleaned up. Reconstruction of destroyed structures and repairs to buildings will have began by the time you receive this letter. Stormcloak guards occupy the city, as well as the Blue Palace, at all times as they have completely replaced the guards stationed here beforehand.

    We look forward to your visit and the moot next month and I assure you my court will be prepared.

    Emily reads over the letter carefully and gives herself a congratulatory nod. It’s as she’s sealing the wax that there’s a knock at the door. It’s Sybille who enters and bows her head in respect until Emily gives her the wave of her hand that allows her to stand again. The old mage’s lips turn up at her and she watches her with old, war worn eyes. Her fingers brush the Jarl’s shoulder with such care it’s as if she’s afraid the jarl might crumble under her fingers. That’s not quite right, though, because Emily’s shoulders tense slightly and her jaw clenches before she relents with a sigh and hunches forward.

    “There’s no need for such formalities with us, Sybille. Not now.”

    The old wizard’s gaze softens as she gives Emily’s shoulder a squeeze and her gaze flickers over to the letter for all of a second before she clears her throat.

    “The court supports you completely--”

    “Sybille...”

    “--And while we support you, we all agree that there is a need to remind you that if you anger Laurids any further he could easily remove you from the throne. You need to do what you know is best and allow us to handle these things.”

    The Jarl turns the letter over in her hands and exhales softly through her nose. After a moment of thought she sets the letter aside and retrieves a new sheet of parchment. Sybille takes that as her permission to leave.

    Laurids and his court ride up to the farm outside Solitude and dismount their horses to walk up to the gates, as was customary. The Stormcloaks pay no mind to the fearful and perhaps disgusted looks they receives as they enter the city. Only the pride radiating off their soldiers catches their attention.

    They march their way through the streets and up to the Blue Palace, where Emily and her court bows themselves in respect. Laurids was not their king, not yet, but he was granted the same respects. The moot would crown him soon enough and they’d have no choice. Emily herself would vote for him as High King.

    With that in mind, she keeps her head bowed until she is given permission to rise.

    “Jarl Emily. Always a pleasure.”

    She stands tall, straight, but Laurids stands taller. Laurids has age and experience. Laurids has fought wars, stormed the walls of her city, brought Skyrim to it's knees. Laurids would be king of Skyrim, and there wasn't anything she could do about that. Any who opposed his claims would risk the same that she has since the death of her husband.

    "The pleasure is mine."

Ugh i'll come back to this part maybe i know the next part is gonna be like five lines lol

    "So, the moot has come to an agreement? Laurids Stormcloak will become High King of Skyrim. Windhelm, it's capital."

    There was a chorus of "Aye's" around the table from each of the Jarls as they banged their hands against the table in a gesture of agreement. How couldn't there be? Laurids had hand picked them, so the moot would have no choice but to side with them. Sybille lead Emily out of the room and left the other Jarls to their celebration.

    She hadn't expected Laurids to follow.

    "Sybille, I'm at a loss. I'm not suited to lead these people. My father lead these people as my steward. My husband lead these people." She sighs through her nose as she brushes her hand along the old stone walls. "I feel out of place here. I have no place here without my husband. I'm an imperial-- the granddaughter of the general."

    "You are as much a child of Skyrim as any of us."

    The old mage takes her shoulders in her hands and brushes Emily's hair back in hopes of soothing her.

    "You've done nothing but what you believed to be best for your kingdom. It may no longer be yours but you are still learning and I will be here to guide you."

    Neither of them had noticed their company until the newly-appointed king had cleared his throat. Emily tensed as Sybille removed her hands and stood straight. While Emily turned her head, Sybille kept strong.

    “Jarl Emily. Is there a chance we could talk?”

    “Of course, Jarl Laurids.”

    He watched Sybille out of the side of his eyes for a moment when she made no attempt to move. The old wizard met his gaze with icy indifference.

    “Alone?”

    The wizard looked to her Jarl, waiting for her to be the one to excuse her. When Emily waved her hand, she hesitantly departed. Leaving the two Jarls alone in the courtyard.  Laurids clasped his hands behind his back and lazily strolled over to some deathbells growing nearby, and brushed his fingers through him. The entire time Emily remained still, tense.

    Eventually, he lifted his head.

    “I’ve never had the chance to apologise-- for your loss. With everything going on it was difficult to offer my condolences.”

    Emily’s jaw tightened and she bit the inside of her cheek as her eyes began to burn. In her mind she turned on him, and in her mind she was full of fire and venom.

    “I don’t want your apologies. Get out of my Hold. Crawl back to whatever plain of Oblivion you crawled out of to cause my misery. ”

    Instead, she said--

    “Thank you, my Lord. It’s been difficult, but we manage. Sybille is helpful in affairs I am still new to handling, as are my Thanes.”
