Hello and happy STS! What is your writing routine?
Hello! I’m kind of late to this and I apologize for that!
My writing routine isn’t really much of a routine at all? Mostly because I, as a person, do not have a routine. Like, the one semi-consistent thing is that I take my meds at 10PM p much every day, except when my sleep schedule has been REALLY fucked up.
However, that being said, generally if I sit down to write I do so by opening Scrivener on my laptop, entering composition/full screen mode, and turning on some nice white noise like rain or fire or something. Or even something that sets the mood / scene I’m working on. I also usually have a drink and something to snack on within arms length, though not always.
OH MY GOD THIS CHAPTER!!!!! I squealed and my roommate was like 'dude wtf' I'm so excited about the further adventures of Tony and his cat.
I’m so glad you liked it!
I also made rosemary rolls!
I got new yarn! and wound it up into a cake. t’s from Etsy, the april 2020 yarn box from cordbreadandhoney. It’s gorgeous :D
I’ve been crocheting a scarf!
Happy STS! What's the strangest thing you've done for your current wip?
I don’t know if this counts as strange but I made a cookbook for ORG like a year or two ago? I’m really into food and ORG has some small details about food stuff that I’ve always found interesting (like the practice of watching a royal family eat before lower ranked people get served, rules about who gets to share meals with who, food for “common” people vs what’s considered rich food) and I’m also a huge history nerd so I put together some of the stuff the people of Escan would actually eat given where I’ve put them and what resources would have been available to them and what they valued. I mean, mostly I went through what the mc Argus would eat in a day and I made all of them (mostly because I was hungry) and it was fun and for like 5 minutes I felt more grounded in the fictional culture. But really it was just an excuse to eat seafood.
I’m relearning how to knit! Not bad for my first time knitting in 3 years.
