New Music - Review
This past weekend at the B96 Summer Bash ‘17 in Chicago, Camila Cabello sang couple of new songs Havana, OMG and I’ll never be the same, honestly I think they are so much better than the other two she released as “lead singles”.
“I have questions” it’s a good record because it serves as interlude to the whole album, but as far as sound and lyrics, it’s so much more in her lane. So basically we can tell that the label is taking this decisions for her (duh) and they are doing it poorly.
“Crying In The Club” sounds so much like a Sia song and that’s the part that makes Sia such a good artist because she has this signature in everything she does/collabs but that’s why I don’t love Camila singing it, because I keep thinking I’ll sound so much better if Sia was on it.
But anyways “I’ll never be the same” is a great record, I like the tempo, the lyrics and it does sound more her style, with some Taylor Swift vibes but don’t hate it. “OMG” is a good record but it sounds a little bit like plastic pop (which we all love ngl) and “Havana” is also great because touches upon her roots and it has this latin vibe, that for obvious reasons fits her so well and then again is authentic to her.
So let’s just hope they released them soon so we can appreciate them better in their studio version.
