Hi! :) Actually I’ve been mostly in RPF fandoms - over the years there was Lord of the Rings RPF, which invented the word “tinhat” for a reason; I spent a couple years in SPN’s J2 fandom, and then there was Bandom where I really had to learn to compartmentalize or I could never have gone to any gigs, and now of course there’s 1D&related!
I’ve been in FPF fandoms as well - Lotr, Avengers mostly - and I remember distinctly the feeling of RELIEF that I didn’t have to worry about the real people. But for some reason the thrill of RPF always grabs me again.
