Dr. Coomer puts blankets/lab coats over whoever he finds has fallen asleep on the couch or in the labs.
Tommy kinda tends to stay overnight and overwork himself sometimes and Coomer will also be in the office late (typically spending time with Bubby) so when he finds Tommy passed out at his desk he drapes a spare lab coat over his shoulders before leaving for the night
This was also a habit throughout their journey in Black Mesa. Gordon oftentimes had trouble sleeping but the moment he managed to actually pass out Coomer would drape his lab coat over him and it. Honestly helped him sleep better
Also in Black Mesa whenever Benrey would vanish, Coomer would sometimes find him kinda just. Curled up or standing in a corner staring off into space. He had no fucking clue what Benrey was doing but he was just like “Ah! Alien sleep!” and just threw his coat over Benrey because. Dad instinct? Dad instinct
After Black Mesa when he and Bubby can finally live together bc, yknow, Bubby’s not being kept at Black Mesa, Coomer will sometimes come home and find Bubby passed out on the couch so he’ll either 1) Drape a blanket over him 2) Carry him to bed or 3) Both! Can’t go wrong with a blanket burrito
