Silvano Usini, ex pugile: Marvin Hagler si complimentò dopo un mio match e mi diede una carica incredibile

Marvin Nathaniel Hagler (Newark, 23 maggio 1954 – Bartlett, 13 marzo 2021) è stato un pugile e attore statunitense, Campione del Mondo dei pesi medi unanimemente riconosciuto dal 1980 al 1987. Era soprannominato dai suoi tifosi e ammiratori "The Marvelous" (in italiano Il Meraviglioso). La International Boxing Hall of Fame lo ha riconosciuto fra i più grandi pugili di ogni tempo. Negli anni scorsi, dopo il ritiro, Hagler ha vissuto a Milano, laddove come ha ricordato via social, dalla sua pagina Facebook, il giornalista sportivo e appassionato di pugilato Cesare Castellani, anni fa si incrociò un allora giovanissimo novizio Silvano Usini a bordo ring. E con Silvano, ex boxeur e campionissimo della Noble Art Italica,  abbiamo ricordato quel momento. Quando hai avuto il privilegio di diciamo “imbatterti” in nientepopodimenoche, con “The Marvelous”? Ricordo bene quei momenti, anche se è passato moltissimo tempo. Accade al termine di un mio match, il secondo da dilettante, vinto prima del tempo come spesso mi capitava, a Spino d’Adda, in provincia di Cremona, a pochi chilometri dal capoluogo milanese. Ricordi cosa ti disse? Si complimentò dicendo che l’avevo impressionato con colpi e numeri importanti. E detto da lui che era una leggenda mi diede una pazzesca dose di adrenalina e autostima. The first band I properly executively produced, a single (pictured) and their debut album! Had to change their name because it offended people in Ireland, we were contacted by BBC Ireland asking why we’d chosen that name, which in actual fact was after 2 aboriginal freedom fighters King Billy and his friend The Marvelous from New Zealand. The the Scottish / Protestant King Billy that murdered loads of Irish! We managed to get into Universal Records and organised Distribution through Genepool but due to circumstances beyond our control the band went their separate ways and the album still remains unreleased to this day!
