✨ The universe does not carry debts. It always return back to you what you gave it. Be it positive karma or negative karma . As you sow, so shall you reap. 🍂 Karma by Mehul Kaku @kakumehul is the story of 4 people working together in a cubicle. It discusses about their journey from office colleague to friends. Parth and Monty are good office colleagues when one day two new employees, Shama and Mohi joined them. Monty has been struggling from his childhood to find better livelihood when he joins National Chemical Company. However, he's fed with daily office politics, his boss and less increment . Both Monty and Parth, landed in this job to have better livelihood but daily stuff has ruined their expectations. Shama and Mohi have their own stories. To know how this four come closer and adhere to each other, have a look at this book. 🌈 The plot is situated in corporate office. The storyline depicts the actual life of people within cubicles. The narration is very amusing and astounding at the same time. It shows how your karma will bear its fruit. 🙈 The characters specially Mohini has made a special place in my heart. While I felt extremely bad for Monty's condition. Shama's crispy attitude and Parth's nature were wonderfully described. Every character carries it own uniqueness and beautiful vibe. 📘 The way trainer explains about leadership and ethics in a company through game was outstanding . Also, the concept of Bookbar was brilliant. I loved the bond that protagonists share with each other. The end was wonderful. ☑️ Although the cover of the book gives the whole jest of book, I think there were chances of enhancement. 💙 Readers who love reading fiction books should go for it. #dishawithbooks #dishareads #akolabookblogger #bookpic #keepreading #bookwormlife #indianauthor #karma #mehulkaku #bookpassion #bookjunkie #bookbloggerhub #bookjunkie #ebookstagrammer #bookaddict #bookstag #booktography #booksandcoffee #bookreviewblog #bookmarks #bookrecs #womenwhoread #readtheworld #shortread #aprilreads #2022reads #bookmattic #bookloversofinstagram #readreadread #booknerdgian (at India) https://www.instagram.com/p/CcNmO2RvtWd/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
Let me start off by saying, normally I love prologues because they add context but also some mysterious foreshadowing. Unfortunately, the prologue in The Wedding Crasher felt messy and started the book off on the wrong note for me. I desperately hoped it would get better especially because once I’ve started something I like to finish it. Safe to say, I didn’t fall in love with The Wedding Crasher the same way I did with the Lonely Fajita.
This book almost felt like poorly edited verbal diarrhea for a great couple of ideas. It largely read like it just didn’t go through the entire planning, writing, and publishing process. Despite some decent dialogue, most of the characters unfortunately still felt inconsistent. Although I hated Josh, he was my favourite character on the page because he seemed the most well thought out and most well written and was also an interesting part of the story when the timeline skipped back and forth.
I know the Mountgraves are rich and there’s a level of chaos that was meant to be attached to that but I feel like there’s an artful way to express that chaos and (think Crazy Rich Asians or even Bridgerton) and The Wedding Crasher missed the mark. Though Aunt Josie was a great addition, the rest felt a little haphazard. I was originally going to not recommend this book to others, however, I enjoyed the epilogue and am now temporarily living in its rosy glow. Overall, the book didn't live up to my expectations (and perhaps it's my fault for being super excited to read another novel by Abigail Mann) but you might still enjoy it.
Thank you NetGalley for this e-arc in exchange for an honest opinion.
I struggled to read this mostly because I feel like I've been overwhelmed with world events and I needed to not be surrounded by chaos for a bit. That being said, it was a lot more poetic than I expected. Overall, a good read but I think I need a break from the series for a bit.
Big Panda and Tiny Dragon by James Norbury. 💚 This was me all the time in Japan. 😅 I’ve found so many cool places by getting lost, even here in Aus. Have you read this book? So manu cute little nuggets of wisdom or life reflections. I swear I could ponder on each page, if I wasn’t so lost in the illustrations! *** #bookpic #books #bookblogger #bookrecommendations #booklover #bookillustration #bookstagram #reading #readingtime #readingislife #bookstagrammer #bookish #recommendedreading #bigpandaandtinydragon https://www.instagram.com/p/CZ2hX2wBq_6/?utm_medium=tumblr
