I love how #sensoryexploration brings out #language in #toddlers. Kids who are usually on the quieter side start chatting about how the paint feels, the marks they are making, and how odd it is that we are driving vehicles in paint instead of on the floor! #Painting on #Ice ππ¨β€οΈπππππ¨π We had such a hot week in NYC βοΈ Explorig with ice helped us cool down a bit. I love the way the liquid water colors from @discountschoolsupply travel through the cracks in the cubes, #colors #blending as they meet. *Neat trick-as the ice melts, the color settles at the bottom of the trays. Instead of restocking the trays with fresh ice, we carefully pour the liquid out and the ice is clear again like a blank canvas!* #ourmateriallife #themateriallife #summercurriculum #beattheheat #iceexploration

The children are given a chance to choose a song from a small selection, look at the picture and tell their friends what song we are going to sing next. We have a few songs with corresponding magnets that we move as we sing. These pictures are for "5 Green and Speckled Frogs."
