how do u make a theme 😭 i purely dont get how to arrange the photos and post barriers and stuff

no i totally get it! i had such a hard time getting a hang of tumblr when i first got serious abt it! i'm probably going to be really bad at explaining this but here goes: - for arranging photos: you can drag photos to sit next to each other instead of on top of each other by dragging a photo next to another once you add it to the post. a little blue line will pop up which is what side the photo will go on when you drop it! you can also move photos below and on top of each other this way!

- note that you can only put 3 photos side by side at a time!

- when you drag pics next to each other, they will take on the same shape, so it might crop some images in ways you don't want (make a square picture rectangular, etc) so it can be helpful to pre-crop your photos or find ones that are all the same shape so the format looks cleaner!

- for my dividers/post barriers/any png images you want, there's an AMAZING community of png creators here on tumblr! search for whatever you need (ex: pink line divider png) and you should have lots of options! my favorite accounts are @bbyg4rlhelps and @strangergraphics!!

- for gradient text/coloring, you can pic any colors you want using an html color picker (to get the hex code for your specific color) and copy and paste that into your theme's colors instead of trying to drag the color palette around! - for text, you can use the stuffbydavid html generator! just copy and paste the code at the bottom into your specific post by switching your tumblr post to HTML in the text editor drop-down menu and pasting it wherever you want the text to appear!
