Katrina & Brant say they’re serial designers. They lived in 6 apartments and designed all of them from floor to ceiling in different styles. Their current Manhattan New York City apt. has a black-and-white-striped-dot design.
"We decide on the design according to the landscape and what the space tells us," Katrina explains.
"When I stood here in front of the huge window and looked at the ships, which were sailing on the Hudson River, I decided that the apartment would be in an urban-nautical style, in black and white, but with a twist.”
The couple's adherence to the design they chose is astonishing. They hung black and white striped wallpaper and dots on the walls, replaced the upholstery of the sofas, and purchased pictures and photographs of nautical themes.
Even for the kitchen cabinets they got handles coated with black rope. Every accessory and collection item on display (and they have quite a few) must match the theme.
Now that the mission has been successfully completed, Katrina and Brant live happily with their two greyhounds. To their delight, the fur colors of one of the dogs blends in with the colors of the apartment.
This is amazing. There isn’t anything left out that doesn’t match.
