-image/text heavy wedding photo post- Okay, so I've picked a few photos to share from our wedding. I've described each photo briefly below. 😊 It was a basic #steampunk theme, done pretty inexpensively. All of our decorations and table settings were handmade by my family, my bridesmaids, and me ☺️. 1- My bouquet (as well as my bridesmaids') were made by us out of pages from various books that my mother had. Mine was adorned with a few of her brooches from her collection that meant something to me. 2- Sir and I. Aren't we precious? Haha 3- My dress was custom made by KMK Designs. It was one of the couple splurge items in the wedding 😅 They have amazing designs and their work is incredible. They also hooked me up with the custom choker by someone they work with. My mother made my little hat and veil. She's pretty much amazing. 4- Trevor 🖤 isn't he handsome? We made his vest ourselves to match the color theme, as well as his gear bolo tie and his military-esque pin. All the groomsmen had their own pins too, instead of corsages. 5- A closeup of the details in my ensemble ☺️ 6- My bridesmaids and I. We decorated our own nerf guns to make them look steampunk-y 😸it was a fun project as a group. My girls could wear whatever they wanted as long as it fit the theme. We look grumpy because the photographer told us to 'look badass' Haha I don't know if we managed that one 😅. 7- Our rings. Mine are gold rings cast from a twig with an uncut diamond. Sir's was recycled sterling silver with a blackened finish. 8- Our venue! It was beyond perfect. If you're near Harvard, IL I highly recommend the Starline Factory. 9- The inside of the venue. It was a working factory that made hay carriers before it was repurposed. 10- Our unity hourglass. Instead of a traditional unity candle ceremony, we built our own hourglass and filled it with three different colors of sand. We used two gears for the top and bottom, with long railroad spikes for the frame. My father helped us weld them together 👌. . . #wedding #weddingdress #alternativewedding #themedwedding #bouquet #paperflowers #kmkdesigns #hourglass #bride #groom #weddinginspiration #bridesmaids #alternativebride #piercedgirl
