the best thing about this clip is that is emphasises the flaws in both cris and joana and is using that as a basis for the conflict of the season rather than outside forces. cris is new to having a serious relationship and is scared of the feelings they bring, looking back on season one we see the reason she doesn’t want a relationship is because eva became dependant on it for her happiness and when her and jorge broke up she was heartbroken and sad. it’s too much work for cris who prefers to ignore her responsibilities and go with the flow rather than deliberating the consequences of her actions. on the other hand, we have joana who is very emotionally vulnerable and ‘intense’ - in her own words - and who doesn’t understand that cris is not ready for such a loaded sentence and runs when she is not immediately reciprocated to the exact same level
