@thememory has a very different idea of a good time.... ❝you wouldn’t know a good time if it sidled up to you and stuck a lollipop in your mouth.❞ - for reno~
"Sweetheart, you wouldn't know the first thing about what I call a 'good time'," he pointed out with a deliberately leering kind of smile, though it curved into much more of a smirk immediately after. "Why, you got a lollipop you're lookin' to off-load?"
what’s the weirdest thing that has ever inspired you to make or pick up a muse?

12. What’s the weirdest thing that has ever inspired you to make or pick up a muse?
☆ Typically, I base picking up muses on the interest I have for them and see if I can pull them off. Something that is quite normal. As far as I remember, there has only been one moment where it could be classified as weird for picking this particular muse up.
Some people may already know I muse Squalo, though his muse hasn't been active for a while. The reason why I picked him up because I was looking through an article of long-haired anime characters to use as a FC for one of my OCs. Since the FC I've picked for this OC has been lacking in resources, I needed another FC to use from time to time. I so happen to stumble upon Squalo in this article. Top ten attractive anime guys with long hair or something along those lines. I forgot which number he was at, but I remember seeing him and was like, "he seems to be interesting as a character. Let me watch the anime." I actually didn't watch the first season and jumped right into where this character would appear and went from there. I went back to watch the first season because the whole anime was interesting. Still is.
It all started because of a FC I was looking for.
a kiss to give up control.
Angsty kiss!

Although Vasco couldn't say he calculate every movement he does, he also could say he had to be in control of what he did. Being so out on land put him on edge. He couldn't simply sit back and be lost in thought. Even if he found himself to do so, it couldn't be long. Only for a moment or two before he brought himself back to reality and continue to do what he did best, working the various of small jobs that is handed to him. Anything that could pass the time and not dwell too much on the fact he is far from home. Far from the familiar waves that would rock a ship or the sound of it crashing against the nearest solid surface. So, to give up control is wild, especially spending days - weeks, even - out in the streets of the city where he kept himself in control and tried to maintain that control. And yet he ended up freely giving it up when Vasco found himself with Aerith, keeping her company when she needed to get somewhere.
He didn't recall where she needed to go, though he also didn't remember if he asked. She only asked if he would like to join her and he ended up agreeing to tag along. He didn't have much to do anyways. Whatever jobs he taken on had been completed throughout the day. Only an hour or two being spent between each job and nothing more than that. So, it had grew to the point he taken a break and found himself in the company of the other. What he didn't realize - or draw to the conclusion - is that a kiss would have been exchanged. Soft and gentle yet the time that has passed been quick. Despite the tenderness behind it, he ended up giving himself up to it, not realizing it until the two had stepped away.

☆ Other than that first thread we have done, I love to see both Aerith and Vasco build some kind of friendship first before they realize they do have some kind of feelings for each other. At first, they keep crossing paths with one another, which I'm sure will amuse her. He doesn't mind, given he probably is around on land more around the time he meets her and slowly begins to form a connection with her. As time goes on, both will eventually get in the habit of knowing where each other are. Not only though verbally saying it to each other, but the way they would fall onto the same routine of going down the same path and finding the other in the same area. Well, if they aren't too busy elsewhere.
I'm sure they will definitely enjoy each other's company. Not that they never enjoyed each other's company before. They are mere strangers before yet when they start to get to know each other, it can be seen as clear as day. Aerith doesn't mind waiting as Vasco slowly opens up. He's not used to bonding with those on land often, nor trust them. So, his wary nature is understandable. Again, she doesn't mind and I'm sure she'll understand to a certain extent, even if she doesn't know all the details.
I love to imagine them sharing all sorts of stories with one another. Adventures from their past, silly moments, so on and so forth. It's one of those dynamics that is sweet. They do look out for one another. While Aerith can handle her own, I'm sure (and Vasco will quickly know about that too), he still comes in to help out when it is needed, especially if there will be a fight. He's more of a fighter than she is and will likely handle the situation rather well. It's not that type of situation where she is completely hopeless. She can definitely handle her own in many situations and he knows this too. It's just sometimes things are needed to be handled by someone else. Aka him.
" you're very serious, you know. it might freeze your face that way. " would it be such a bad thing? aerith wasn't certain - she wouldn't want to frown for the rest of her life, at least. was he frowning? it certainly wasn't a smile. whatever it was ... " unless ... that's preferred. "
It wasn't the first time that the features of his face were commented on-- or having any expression other than a straight stony face. However, he was not expecting it. "Our expressions reflect on how we are feeling. Perhaps I haven't been in the proper company to suitably display the wholesome cheery approach people rather be presented with." Charisma when needed, a flash of a fake smile when signaled.
The act was required in the position he was given. His tongue swathed over his lips in preparation as he gave off one of those false smiles he was conditioned to do.
"How is this?" Words were spoken through the slits of his teeth, strained but needed to get his point across. It was an overreaction that wouldn't pass even if given to a child, but Aerith often sparked the notion of child-like wonder to him even if ShinRa darkened her path.

Merperson starters || Always Accepting!
☁ my muse is a merperson who lives by the seashore near your muse’s house. your muse catches them sitting on the rocks peoplewatching one day
What did the world had to look like from up there?
It was a thought that always left him wondering, in the not-so-rare times he allowed himself to sneak up to the surface to stare at the large metal mouth that hung over the harbor of Junon. Pointed towards the sea, almost like a spear of a challenger. Its shadow cast over the lazy back and forth of the tide shifted the temperature of those waters, and gave away the time he’d spent where he did not belong.
What a strange fate for someone like Sephiroth. What an odd merman, being so charmed by what was above.
Even more than the architecture of the land-dwellers, it was the people themselves that fascinated him. If he paid attention and sat behind the rocks away from the beach, he could at time catch glimpses of life. Sometimes they came in pairs; other times, small children followed. Once or twice, one came alone, or with the company of four-legged creatures he was unfamiliar with.
He’d been warned of what would happen, were he caught. But though he’d been spotted before, Sephiroth found that these people weren’t so difficult to fool. A hasty retreat in the waves was often enough to discourage any pursuit. If caught on the rocks, his waistline had always been carefully hidden be the water, and he needed to do no more than returning their waving gesture to be mistaken for one of their kind, just taking the time for a soak.
The cetaceous tail that extended from his spine, of a glistening black with sharp-looking silver marks on the back, was certainly something the likes of which he’d never noticed among them. Would it be so strange and scary to a land-dweller, if they saw him in his entirety? Or would they too be just as fascinated as he?
It was a question that had crossed his mind every time his eyes had met another pair above the surface. And today, when a set of young greens more vibrant and bright than his own found him, it was simply no different.
The sun was dimming, and the waters of Junon were dark. With a curiosity of his own, the merman stared back, his hands pushing just that little more against his chosen rock to let his body sink a little further, until the comfortable temperature of the sea returned near the shoulders.

One gloved hand hovered an inch away from the door handle, ready to grab it and yank the door open. For a moment or two, Vasco debated if he should grab onto the handle in case or not, though he made his decision. He lowered his hand and turned on his heels to look at the speaker. A woman. Her emerald eyes piercing up at him with some sort of innocent-like look or perhaps it's curiosity. He's not sure. Regardless, he didn't expect someone to have said anything at all.
❝Why is that? Is there something I shouldn't know or shouldn't be witnessing right now? Some sort of danger I shouldn't tangle myself in?❞ Words came out steadily yet calmly. He isn't annoyed at all when he's been prevented from going any further. While he couldn't say he had to go back to doing his job, given he is laid off temporarily, he could easily suggest he's off doing some kind of side job. Helping with the local chocobos or finding something that could easily be found. Whatever gets him to pass the time and keep the gil coming into his pockets.
