On this day, 26 years ago, during the Battle of Mogadishu, many great American lives were lost. Two brave men were awarded (posthumously) the Congressional Medal of Honor (SFC Randy Shughart and MSG Gary Gordon) for their sacrifices to save a fellow man and downed pilot, CW3 Michael Durant. Let’s keep the memory of all that were lost during this battle alive and not let their sacrifices be forgotten.
