“I would expect our future King to know his woods like the back of his hand. Especially if it is the man who wishes to marry me. I bet I can get us out of here faster than you.”
themostcharmingprince Ella- as always- had been walking around with her nose stuck in a book. The village was as lively as ever. Everything brand new, the smell of bread in the air as jack and red walked beside her. They were both arguing about something silly, like they always were, Ella learned to let them be. She should have learned who lesson by now. If she was going to be reading in the village, she couldn't walk and read. She always ended up bumping into someone. And this time was a little different. She let out a soft, 'oof' as she ran into the man, shyly looking up at him and nearly jumping out of her skin. "My prince-" she breathed and closed her book, holding it close to her chest, "I'm sorry I wasn't looking where I was going."

Just remembering you've had an and when you're back to or, makes the or mean more than it did before.
That was when she knew she had to go back. She had a husband and son whom she loved and they needed her. Moments in the woods...bah. That had been something the woman had often fantisized about, being alone with the Prince that night in the woods had been magical and adventurous. That had been enough for her. After that, it was time to go home. A wish of hers had come true, and that had been dangerous. Even though she would never forget it, there was nowhere she would rather be than with her family. She was even more thankful when she managed to jump out of the way of the fallen tree in the giants rampage through the woods. When she found her husband once more, she swore she would never let him go again.
Another Ever After was in store for everyone. Red, Jack and Cinderella had all become a part of their family. Now their small house seemed even more cramped. Thankfully with extra hands, they were able to build onto the cottage. Ella and Red even moved into the old Witchs home and tended the garden. It was nice having them close by. They had all suffered in the last year, but now things were beginning to look up once more.
Morning had come to the small cottage and everyone was getting ready for the cold winter months ahead. Jack and her husband had gone to the edge of the woods to collect firewood. Cinderella was upstairs with the youngest member, Henry. Red was reluctantly trying her hand at the buisness, secretly taking a bite of the sweet cookie dough she had been taught to make.
This went unnoticed, for as the wife looked out the window she spotted a familiar horse ride stop in front of their home. It was the Prince. She hid her inner panic well as she told Red she would be right back and to keep to her work. Wrapping her shawl around herself, she stepped out of her home and bowed her head to the Prince.
"Your highness..." She spoke softly, her eyes raising to meet his as she caught a breathe in her throaght. She immediately had many questions. Her first one would be answered soon...would he remember her?
