We just signed a lease on a studio in Long Island City!!! Gonna be moving in on June 8th :)

So it’s looking like I’ll definitely be back to more frequent blogging again and finally re-opening the Spirit Roots Shop in mid-June.

I’m so excited, and I can’t wait to start calling Queens my new home!

Last night we finally got all our stuff into the apartment! But before getting settled in too much, I hopped over to stock up at the nearest botanica and set up my working altar and shrines.

Next I smoke and bell cleansed, floor washed, petitioned my ancestors, blessed and warded uppp every inch of the place.

Thank Olodumare my fiancé was so supportive when I told em I gotta hoodoo our new home :)

I’m so sorry to everyone who’s been sending in asks (or who sent in an ask ages and ages ago) or messaging me, I’m still neck deep in apartment hunting and running around the city with my fiancé and parents!

Most of these posts going up this week were queued last weekend - I’ve barely been online at all in the past couple days. In general too, sometimes it takes me ages to respond to asks bc I have so many sitting in my inbox.

But I always make it a point to try to answer whenever I can, even if it ends up being a long while later. So far, I’ve answered almost every ask I’ve ever gotten! Just gotta bear with me during my shop hiatus for my move to NYC, then I’ve got a lot of catching up here to do. I promise I’ll get back to you soon as I can!!

Shop & Blog Updates

Just wanna let everyone know my hiatus is finally coming to an end! I’ve been working the past couple of days to finish making updates to my shop so I can re-open tomorrow or Friday.

Moving has been very expensive and we’re at the end of our budget now, so I’m excited to get back to work with yall and also hoping to schedule a lot of orders within the next couple of weeks :)

I’m also well aware of all the messages and asks I need to respond to, so I promise I’ll be catching up with them all soon as I can <3
