Honestly the BTS 'hiatus' was a long time comming. The music that they have recently been making has been a serious 180 from what they used to make. To me personally since Boy with Love and Dynamite (possibly even Fake Love) it has felt like they havent been in control of what they put out. All they have been putting out as a group has been manufactured to make it big in Western (read American. We all know America is where the companys want all groups to gain attention in) media and charts. In solo projects that they have done you can see the, as cringy as it sounds, old BTS shine through.
And as bad as this sounds this kind of 'Westernisation' of Kpop artist is most likely gonna happen to any and all groups that make it big internationally e.g. Stray Kids, NCT, BlackPink, ITZY, TXT, AESPA ect ect. Not saying thats its a bad thing to try a appeal to all fans, but when each comeback sounds the same as the last, its gonna cause some fans to stop supporting.
But even though I havent really followed them in the last 3 or 4 years, I hope the best for them in their solo projects.
And for the love of all things good, if they decide to disband after the hiatus (many groups have done this) don't be stupid enough to try and blame one member because you don't like them. Just take it as a group decision and move on
