I'd definitely say your upset is legit. Bi people are constantly stereotyped as either attention seekers or closet cases by both hets and gays. There are even many people who genuinely believe bisexuality doesn't exist, and that it's just an excuse to be promiscuous (which has the added bonus of being slut shaming). Doesn't sound very privileged to me. :P

TRUE... i guess mostly i tend to go “hrrrrrrr” over the concept of “straight-passing privilege” because on one hand ok i AM a cis woman in a relationship with a cis guy, but also, i have this really intense feeling that It Doesn’t Work That Way, people assuming i’m straight isn’t necessarily GOOD

I don't know if you've heard this yet, but there's apparently a new Xkit team (new-xkit-extension)? They're not affiliated with the Xkit guy, they're basically working off the open-source version of Xkit and trying to update it to work with modern Tumblr. I dunno if i'll switch over just yet because I don't want to lose all my Tumblr bookmarks (and I dunno if I trust them just yet), but it's nice to know that Xkit is kinda making a comeback.

i’ll keep my eye on it, it was only a matter of time before xkit got picked back up. hopefully this time people running drama blogs don’t ask for receipts on the new xkit team to get more followers and attention
